Goofiest Handgun: Current or Otherwise

Webly-Fosbery Automatic Revolver:

Skans, you must have put that picture up purely for the COP and not for the 3rd Gen 'Smith that's also pictured. Nothing goofy about a 3rd Gen 'Smith. Love 'em so much it's hard to describe.

HOWEVER! The factory adjustable rear sight and those god-awful protective ears around it are maybe one of the goofiest decisions I think Smith & Wesson has made with regards to outfitting a pistol.

Sevens, yes I did intend to include just the COP - my Smith 659 is a rock-solid handgun. It was the 2nd semi-auto handgun that I ever purchased, and I still really like this gun! But, I do have to agree with your assessment of those protective ears - they are goofy!! I'd bet that it was influenced by the proliferation of Mac10's. Note similar looking "ears" on my M10 Carbine:D:D:D

Aarghhhhh! My eyes! my eyes!:D

Webley Fosbery

Ok now, no bad talking the prettiest gun ever designed.
That Dardick likely takes the cake. A few other too.
But the Fosbery, less Zed, is just plain dead sexy!!!!!!
A wonderment to shoot.

What about the Lilliput .21 rimfire in a crotch holster:barf:
Even Zed wouldn't have touched one, but Herr Schicklegruber might have.:D

Wogpotter: What? Never seen a 40 yo Scotsman in a red post-apocalyptic diaper? "Octopushy, let me slip into something more comfortable".

And let me add, for all of us, thank you for keeping the photo small scale.

I can't believe nobody mentioned the Neos yet.:D
I guess goofy is in the eye of the beholder.

Another one in my safe is this, and it's more useless than goofy.

That Neos, looks kinda cool. It looks like a laser pistol, or something.
The second one looks like a broom handle mauser clone.
Is it a 22?

OK, NOT the goofiest gun, just the most hilarious circumstances.

I was cruising up the highway near home, and I saw the pawn shop,

decided "Hey this looks like a big place, lets see what they have."

So I pulled in, and checked out their DVDs, then I turned around, and there

in the showcase was a SS S&W500 with a foot long barrel, a wood

presentation box, a muzzle brake, and that humorously

small .357 plastic handle. I remember controlling my mirth but while I was

looking at it I was thinking BWA-HA-HA-HA-HA-SNURK!

Upshot of it was, I never even asked how much they wanted for it,

but I remembered it, it's memory lingered in my mind.

It got me interested in shooting again.

Now I own a few guns(Which means less than 60;)) and I go to the range

all the time to shoot. But all my guns are much more conservative in size and

caliber.(And it really isn't that "goofy" a gun, either.)

I forget the name of it (probably a defensive mental thing)... but the huge single-action 45-70 revolver has got to be on the list somewhere.
Seriously... a 45-70... from a REVOLVER? Although, it's probably slightly more practical than the "Judge".

"practical" being a relative term, in this discussion.

ahh... it just came to me... I think they called it the BFR. aptly... although it should probably have been the SBFR. (stupid)
