Everyones favorite knife

I've got a bunch of knives and my favorite fixed is the Finnish Puukko. Had it for over 50 years and will leave it in the camp so I don't lose it before I hand it over to my son. This deer season I will carry a"Bark River Knife and Tool" with a nice thick 3-inch blade that kinda looks like a "Loveless". My folding pocket knife is usually an old stainless GI, the one with "US" on the handle and a screwdriver/can-opener, awl and lanyard ring.

taa, cs :D

I'm carrying a Kershaw Ken Onion Blackout model 1550ST. Best knife I've carried and doesn't cost much (about $45 on Cheaper Than Dirt). Spring-assisted opener works great - with a little practice, it looks like you're opening a switchblade.

For fixed, it has to be KABAR for me. For anything from game knife to hammer, to pry bar, it'll take serious amounts of punishment and/or wear before it will fail. ;)

For REALLY, REALLY fixed, go for the Cold Steel Boar Spear!

Fixed Blade: Small Ka-Bar USMC model

Folders:
Emerson CQC7A, serrated blade

I don't carry a knife all that often, but when I do, one of these goes with me.

Also a big fan of CRKT designs-among others, I have an M16-12, Lightfoot Urban Shark LUS-02, and a Crawford Kasper medium folder, plain blade. Hoping to get an M21 shortly; I really like the feel and balance of the aluminum handles.

CRKT's are really good knives for a fair price-I like to see what's new in their line, because their designs are so innovative and varied.

To answer the question, what I have works for me and I have selected it carefully. That's not to say I would never consider something else, but right now, I'm very satisfied with my choices.

Swiss Army Champion. It's been with me to Asia once, to Europe twice, Canada once and many times across our own Continent. I even gutted a deer with it once. Now that wasn't by choice as I've better knives but the Champion was the only one I was carrying at the time. Yep, I'm not the sharpest stick in the pile. :(
