Guns are commodities
All of you who regret selling your guns, take this advice: Don't sweat it, there are millions of others out there in the modern gun market. You can always get another. I've owned modern guns and currently collect antiques. I over paid for every modern gun and usually got less for it when I sold it. I decided long ago to bone up on antique firearms because that's were the money is for investing. There were some antiques over the years that I wish I had sold for more money, but once they were out of my hands, my life was better because I had more resources for my family and to further my collecting interests. Grow out of the posessivness and attachment if the guns are common. Appreciate those that are not and consider selling them only if you need to do so. After all, you collect and shoot for your enjoyment, but we all must make sacrifices. Don't let it eat you up, you'll go mad and your family will suffer in the process. IT'S JUST A PIECE OF METAL AND WOOD.
