Dream wheelgun.

For me:

1. Ruger Single Six chambered in .327 Federal Magnum

2. S&W Model 19, pinned & recessed and reintroduced new for 2014 so I don't have to pay through the nose for worn out leftovers.

I have several of the guns I used to dream of owing one day. The first is this Python I picked up a few years ago before Python prices started to rise out of sight.

Another is this M29-2 with a 6 1/2" barrel (the "Dirty Harry" gun), unfired since it left the factory:

Third is this Colt Frontier Six Shooter, this model is no longer made with the blackpowder frame. Having grown up watching westerns, I always wanted a real Colt cowboy gun.

  • Maker: Ruger
  • Model: Alaskan
  • Barrel Length: 4" with extended frame shroud
  • Finish: Black
  • Sights: Night sights
  • Grips: Herretts Jordan Troopers
  • Caliber: 44 Magnum

Additional details:

Topstrap would be flat checkered with a nice border added.

All sharp edges removed.

Gun would be refinished with a durable black or dark gray finish.

I would consider using a Rough Country rear sight from Bowen Classic Arms.

Always wanted a Smith Model 27, but they were too expensive when I first started shooting (in the '70's), and I refuse to pay the exorbitant prices they want for them at gun shows, etc today. So, I guess I'll just have to keep on dreaming (and shaking my head when I see one at the gun shows).

hey! how did that taurus get in? it was a great deal!
2 superblack hawks kn 44 mag, one was my dads, the rosewood grips with the front site notched, and a 1995 that i bought!

I would like a quality SA in .454 Casull.

That could be a FA, or one of these other manufacturers such as Linebaugh...

An utter dream, for sure....but still.

More realistically, a SRH/SBH(Hunter/Bisley) in .44 Mag!!

Currently I just purchased my dream revolver. But that changes on a regular bases.

My current dream revolver is:

Maker: Smith & Wesson
Model: 327 TRR8
Barrel Length: 5"
Finish: Black
Sights: Front- Interchangeable Rear- Adjustable V-Notch
Grips: Synthetic
Caliber: .357 Magnum

I think Smith just made mine it's called a Smith Model 69 and it's an L frame 4" 44 Magnum with a 5 shot cylinder.

I normal only shoot 1000-1100fps in a 44 Mag anyway. I'm going to keep my eyes on this revolver.

I have simple tastes,,,

I have simple tastes,,,
So I already own my dream revolver.

S&W Model 15 Combat Masterpiece,,,
Her name is Stella.

stella-lr.jpg

A model 15 was what I carried in the USAF,,,
After my service was over I got out of shooting,,,
Marriage and trying to keep 4 horses took all of my money.

When I got my current job back in 2005,,,
I decided to get back into shooting,,,
Stella was the first gun I bought.

I own fancier revolvers now,,,
But Stella is really all I ever wanted,,,
She fits my hand perfectly and never fails to fire.

I wanted my dream revolver so badly, that I had my gunsmith make it for me. :)

Started life as a Smith&Wesson 25-5 chambered in .45 Colt. Converted it to round butt, hard chromed it, smoothed all the sharp edges, made a new cylinder in .45 ACP so I could switch rounds, added Trijicon night sights, did a complete trigger and action job.
I have been shooting this one for about 15 years now, and could not be more pleased.

The perfect defense carry revolver

A Smith & Wesson Combat Magnum (pre-model 19) with

- the barrel trimmed back to just in front of the extractor rod lug,
- front sight remounted,
- round butted with Herrett's Shooting Star grips, and
- the action tuned for double action shooting and a smooth faced, narrow trigger.

Reblued like S&W blued them in the 1950s.

I dreamed and I...

Bought these beauties.
