Dream handguns

I am lucky enough to own one of the original 500 S&W Custom House race guns (SN 402)! And, I just located and purchased 1,000 rounds of Federal ammunition for it!! One of my all time favorite (and accurate) hand guns!!

Iffin you shows me yours, I'll show you mine. ;)

Colt M1911 AnnivIII and M1 Garand (as close as I can get to what my grandpa carried around WW2 and Korea)
Springfield M1A (as close as I can get to what my dad carried in Vietnam)
20" AR-15 (close to what I carried in Iraq)
Colt Python
Dirty Harry's revolver
S&W 686 and Ruger GP100
Remington 700
Browning Hi Power
Sig P220 Equinox
Sig P220 Dark Elite
Serbu Super Shorty (mossy500)
...
...
...

Yes, lots are available, but I'm a poor boy :(

I want one of these real bad. It's nickel; the gold tone is from the photo, not the gun:

I know the rule is a gun that has been in production, but mine is no fantasy gun and the technology could certainly easily produce such a pistol...so I list it in case anyone significant reads this and considers the concept. :-)

I want a double stack 22 LR pistol that will hold 50 rounds in the standard mag.
Don't think Grendal, think G21...I'd buy two.

I'm lucky enough to have or have owned many from this thread and let me tell you, there really isn't a dream gun to a true collector or shooter because once you get "it" there is a "it II" then "it III" so really, its more of, which gun would you like to next acquire. For me, it would be this one:

Followed by a Finn Lahti (not the Swedish version, a real Finn)

Then a close 3rd, the classic P210

Honorable mention: a Pre war PPK and a 1st generation SAA.

But the real dream guns? My grandfathers radom bring back from WWII (currently owned by my uncle) and my great uncle's artillery luger with shoulder stock that he sold to some guy. The luger belonged to his dad, my great grandfather. Those would be my true dream guns, for sentimental reasons.

S&W Registered Magnum

NAA 22lr/22mag Black Widow

Colt Detective Special short butt, nickel plated , exposed ejector rod.

I've got a few "dream" guns, one's I really want in the safe...

S&W 4506, or variant,
Colt Diamondback in both .22lr and .38spl.,
something in 10mm, not a Glock,
S&W Model 57 or 58, or both!

That's about it right now, maybe something along the lines of a shooter Python too, as my 1961 version is all safe queen right now, lol!

Judge?

I know there are many "haters" and I neither have nor want one, but the 410 revolver deserves another look. The research being done at 410handguns.com indicate that it might not be as bad as some of us think.

While I prefer a pistol over a Glock, some folks are very happy with their Judges. My old 1911 is perfect for me, but I must respect some folk's choice of different guns...even ones equated to pink scooters! :D

Now here's a funny thing...

... very early in this thread I said I'd like a S&W 1917, like Indiana Jones had in the movie.

Didn't quite one, but found a guy who was willing to trade a Colt 1917 for my GP100.

Should have it in a few days.

it would have to be the S&W mod. 310 nightguard in .40 S&W/10MM. kinda wish it was in real steel, instead of scandium alloy.
