Dream handguns

My dream List is short. But it is sweet to me.

1- S&W pre 27, 3 1/2"
2- S&W M - 27 3 1/2"
3- S&W M - 19 2 1/2"
4- Browning H.P, ring hammer
5- Holland and Holland double, in anyone of the African calibers.

My dream handgun would be,,,

Take a CZ-75B and put it in the washing machine,,,
Wash it in hot water and dry it on high,,,
So it will shrink just a little bit.

Picture the overall size difference between,,,
A 9mm Beretta 92 and a .380 Beretta 85 Cheetah.

If they would make a scaled down version of he CZ-75B,,,
I would camp out on their doorstep to buy the first two off the line.

But barring that magical scenario,,,
A single stack CZ-75B would tickle the heck out of me.

Now don't get me wrong here,,,
I love high capacity as well as anyone,,,
I wouldn't mind the grip being a bit slimmer is all.

Hello Amin,,,

I've never had a CZ-75B Compact in my hands,,,
But I was under the impression it's merely shorter than the standard 75B.

I have small hands,,,
S&W K-frames and the Beretta 87/Walther PPK fit me perfectly.

The CZ-75B is right at the upper limit,,,
Of what I can get a comfortable correct grip on.

You should see me shooting my S&W Model 629,,,
I can shoot it accurately but it's a challenge.

Aaron,

I am lucky enough to own 3 75s and one 75 compact. The compact has a shorter slide and grip. Very nice pistol that loads only 13 but will take the full size mags. The first thing that will strike you when you hold one is how well balanced it is. It just feels right.

I assume you referring to the girth of the grip and not the length?

Dream guns?

Hmm...........

H&K 45c

H&K P7 M8

CZ 75 - PCR (I own this one)

CZ PCR Pro Tek1 (CZ Custom)

CZ 75 BD

Smith & Wesson 340 M&P (I own this one too)

Smith & Wesson 629

Smith & Wesson M&P R8 .357 Mag.

Colt Python "6 blue (I owed this too)

Beretta 92fs

Beretta 85fs

Sig P220 Carry

Walther P38

Para Carry 45

what a fun question to answer! please feel free to comment on my choices. the next gun i purchase will be a taurus 738ti (the .380 pocket pistol similar to the keltec p3at or ruger lcp) but in titanium weighing only 9 oz's! deffinitly a ruger super redhawk alaskan in 454 casull (seen "the rock" in the movie "faster"?) i'm with you on the cz czeckmate, thats my "if i win the lottery" gun. havent shot a cz yet, but i hear they're pretty nice, and i'd like to use it in competition. browning hi-power or high quality clone (i hear the new ones are pretty good) any single action cowboy style revolver (probably something like a ruger vaquero, reccomendations?) in .44 mag to go with a levergun in the same caliber, with a western style holster and cartridge loops all the way around. walther ppk/s with an ankle holster. a pair of kimber grand raptor II's in a shoulder rig. kel-tec pmr 30 (range toy). taurus judge polymer .410/.45lc. beretta or taurus 92 somthing or other, i'm not sure the right code, but whichever is the full size, original, without an accesory rail. if anyone can respond, i'd like to know, and is the new taurus really better than the old beretta?. and my grandfathers WWII issue colt 1911 thats been promised to me by my very sentimental parents. it's a very well preserved, perfectly functioning gun, used by my "papa," a highly decorated artillerymaster in the south pacific. it's the best of the best, one of a kind, if i could only have one gun, that would be it. a dream that should come true (picture me with my fingers crossed) one day.
fun thread !

There are a bunch more but if narrowing it down the to ones that'd really do it for me:

- Pre War (1st Gen) Colt SAA .44 Special
- Ed Brown Special Forces Carry (bobtail).

A Wilson Combat Master Grade.....and a Browning Renaissance Medalist (only 300 ever built)

I think my answer will be the same as three years ago: Vltor Bren Ten.
As for what I will actually put in my safe, once I've decided the Bren is never coming? Guns that have tempted me to some extent:
(real) Bren Ten
Grayguns conversion of SIG P220 to 10mm
9mm 1911 converted to 9x23 Winchester
Colt New Frontier (7.5", .45)
Colt Python (blue, 6")
A number of G. Ggg. Ggggglocks. There, I said it.
Colt Dick Special and/or Cobra
Springfield XD
Colt Rail Gun
Maybe A Colt Walker replica
I suppose that they're not really "dream" guns, as I can afford one or more of them, but I'm dreaming of actually having one.
If we're talking dreams, then I'm dreaming that someone I know has an attic full of guns that her late husband owned, and she wants to "get rid of them". Not "get rid of" in the usual sense as it applies to guns; $100 more than blue book. No, I mean she can't tolerate having them in the house, and will someone come over and take them away??!?!? Who cares what they are.

Mmmmmm that's tough and probably turn into a very long list

For starters replace my S&W 629 for a S&W 629 Performance Hunter
In addition
Colt 1911 Defender in 45 acp
Colt 1911 Gold Cup
Colt 1911 SS Commander
Sig P238 in the hunt for one right now
S&W 460
Thompson Contender w/ a lot of barrels

I could go on and on with this list

I'm on a tight budget, so my wishlist may have to stay on a list for awhile as I save my money. I fished a dime out of the sewer to go into my firearms fund

S&W model 22 classic .45 acp
Ruger GP-100
Kimber solo carry.

I like this game, so I am going to play. This goes in no particular order.

Colt Python 4in blue
Colt Lawman MKIII 4in blue
Colt Trooper MKIII and MKV 4in blue, 6in blue
Colt Detective Special nickle
Nice 1911 blue
S&W 19 blue
Ruger GP100 blue 4in
S&W 27/28 5in blue
Ruger Security Six 4in blue
Ruger Speed six 4in blue
S&W 686+ 4in ss
S&W 13 3in blue
Colt SAA 5 1/2in, 4 3/4in, blue .45Colt
S&W 29 6in blue
1858 Remington Army nickle conversion
1851 Colt Navy Conversion blue
1860 Colt Army Conversion blue
All above guns would have their triggers and such custom tuned by a master of gunsmithing.

All of these guns would also be in the back seat of my silver 1970 SS 454 Chevelle or my black 1970 442 with a big old 455, both cars would have engine and suspension upgrades of course too. :D And lets not forget that Natalie Portman is in the bucket seat beside me.

Oh what dreams are made of.

8shot,

My dream guns have mostly been normal production guns. Nothing fancy like your custom shop goodies.

I try not to brag, but I pretty much got my dream guns, but I hate to brag.:D

My next dream gun is a little NAA mini revolver lr22, that I can carry in a belt buckle.

I'm powerless about any new purchases, little or big.

So I'm jealous. And I have no "New" gun bragging rights.

At least I can afford a good glass of cheap Bourbon.:D
