CZ 75

I love my CZs my go to carry is a P-01 with a cleaned up trigger, and for 3-gun I run an SP-01 20k plus rounds on it, It was my second pistol ever and the thing loves everything I thrown at it and is insanely accurate.

I'm curious, is your SP-01 a safety or decocker model?

I love CZ's, and have several, including a CZ 75 B. I don't think I've ever shot it in DA, even though it is DA/SA as even you bring the slide back to seat the first round the hammer is back, and you are in single-action. It has the safety, and I am uncomfortable putting the hammer down on a loaded bullet with my thumb on the hammer, pulling the trigger. I shoot it at the range, and it is my home defense gun, so having SA only is a good thing. In SA the trigger was good from the beginning, and I must have shot a couple thousand rounds by now. When 'dry-firing' the reach for the trigger is a bit far in DA, but comes to a more comfortable position in SA.
All the rest of my CZ's have a decocker... which I really like.

If you ever decide to try IDPA or USPSA, you'll have to get over that discomfort, as both venues require that Stock Service Pistol/Production guns start from hammer down.
1) Put your strong-hand thumb on the hammer, and use your other hand to grasp the hammer as you pull the trigger, and use the strong hand thumb and other hand to lower the hammer.

2) Or, just put you weak-hand thumb or a finger on the rear of the slide over the firing pin. Then, if your strong-hand thumb somehow slips, the hammer will fall on your other thumb (or finger).

Using either method, release the trigger as soon as the hammer has moved a small bit, and the firing pin block will also kick in.

At the range, I'm like you -- the only time I lower the hammer is when the gun is empty and I'm putting it away.

KMO! I have the exact same gun with almost the exact same VZ grip! I did a double take when I saw your photo because you even took the picture with a yellow 1970's counter top as a background like I did!

I love my CZ 75! I can't wait to customize it. It shoots so well already, and I can see that the gun just has lots of potential.

I've NEVER seen or heard of a STAINLESS Compact. I once owned a satin nickel Compact (pictured, below) and some folks thought it had a matte stainless finish. The stainless compact must be a new model.

There isn't a stainless Compact that I've ever heard of. I've seen nickel plated versions mistaken for it, and a nice NP3 coated version that looked like matte stainless, but no genuine one.

Of course, CZ does put out a few oddballs occasionally...

I'm a Big fan of the CZ75 SA myself, I like the bull nose and flat trigger and the beaver tail. I was at the fun store and was thrown a curve ball, I spotted the flat trigger and beaver tail but it had a HP style nose? Turns out its a CZ75 Omega DA/SA with flat trigger and decocker safety. If it only had the bull style nose I would be a few bucks lighter today...
