CZ 75

I had one. I was told it was set up for Matt Mink. 100% reliable, fast reset, 2 lb trigger, excellent sights.
I used it for steel shooting, but eventually moved on to another gun. I met a guy who just had to have it and was willing to pay an excellent price, so I sold it.

Hate to bring up an old thread but Japle, was the trigger pull factory or did a gunsmith work his magic? If it is not factory, any idea what the factory pull would be?

The gun was thoroughly worked over.
I've never handled a factory CZ75 SA, so I can't comment on their triggers.

My small hands did not like the CZ 75. Trigger reach was too long. I really wanted them to, but it was a no go. I was thinking a decocker and kadet would be great.

Love CZ's

Got a 75BD in 9mm. Just put a 97 BD in lay-away the other day. Have had CZ's in the past and are some of the best Handguns an Shooters period.
I'v also had the CZ 452 rimfires an the 527 in a 204 ruger cal. All were mighty fine weapons !!!:D:D:D

Another happy CZ75B owner. Super accurate and easy to shoot.

Wow! Just saw one and dry fired it at the local gun shop. For a stock pistol, it was amazing! Trigger was nearly as good as a pretty good1911! Metalwork and finish looked good for a low end gun too. Any holsters available for this one since the shape is not really cz75? Might be smaller and ok.

Which model was it? A full-size or compact?

Both can use a full-size holster for a CZ or a Beretta 92. There are holsters available for the compact models.

(When CZs first came to the US. Fobus remarked their Beretta holsters and sold them as CZ. I don't think Fobus had to change them much when they started selling dedicated holsters for the CZ-75.)

CZ75 B SA

It has a slightly different machining than the other full size cz75's.

They do have a slightly different slide (more material near the muzzle), and an extended beavertail, but I don't know that the frame itself is greatly different enough to really matter that much with regard to holsters.

The 75B SA I had worked well in the holsters I was using for my other CZs, but some of those were leather, and another was an adjustable Safariland -- there's a bit more "give" in all of those holsters when used. I never tried a 75B SA in a Fobus or kydex holster for the standard 75B DA/SA gun.

Your best bet is to take your gun to a gunshop or gunshow and try some holsters out (with regard to how well the gun and holster match up.) If you can't do that, an internet search may be your friend. Amazon and EBAY both have them.

As a last resort, and you don't want to spend a lot.. get a Fobus holster for the CZ-75B. You can heat up the plastic a little (I used a heat gun I got at Harbor Freight years ago) and soften the plastic enough to let any problem areas reform when you push the gun into the holster.

I like Alien Gear holsters, and you can contact them to see if they can provide a holster. They're inexpensive (most under $40) and offer interchangeable "shells" that can be changed out as guns change.

Note: If you work with an existing holster that isn't quite right, you only need to heat the area where it doesn't fit quite as well as you'd like. I've done this with Fobus holsters when I had several holsters I wasn't using, and couldn't find a new holster quickly that I needed for a new gun.

I'm not sure the single action is that much "better" than the double action model so might want to just get the more common traditional gun.

Well, finally got to shoot the cz 75 sa....:(
The trigger was a real drag...it had alot of creep. I tried another counter gun and it was pretty creepy too. They were like an M9 in sa mode. This was a huge disappointment.

Now pondering a CZ 75 Tactical Sport in 40 s&w. That is one sweet gun, i think, but i cannot try before i buy.

Does the tactical sport take the same mags as all other cz75's?

If you otherwise like the CZ75 SA, you can probably get a local gunsmith to do a trigger job pretty reasonably -- maybe for $100 or less. There's not as much to do with the SA, particularly if the one you buy has the two-way adjustable trigger (for both take up and overtravel). Some of the SAs seem to come with good triggers, some are more like the one you describe. The CZ Forum has instructions with photos of how to do it yourself, if you're up to that.

Nathan is offline Report Post

I've never encountered or heard of a Tactical Sport with a crappy trigger, but that gun is going to cost you nearly twice as much. (Having a 75SA tuned will be much cheaper.) Mags are more expensive, and holsters a bit harder to find.

And NO, the mags are not compatible with the standard CZ-75 (The Tactical Sport has a much larger frame, similar to the CZ-97 -- but holds more rounds.

You might look at the guns offered by the CZ Custom Shop. You can buy from them and they'll ship to a local FFL. Cagun Gun Works can probably do something similar -- and either of those shops will give you a trigger that is superior.

To add to the above post, the TS has an extremely nice SA trigger, but be aware, it is extremely light. Out of the box, it is 2# or less.

I'm still thinks ng about it, but something else has caught my eye for now....a Wiley Clapp Government model!

I love my CZs my go to carry is a P-01 with a cleaned up trigger, and for 3-gun I run an SP-01 20k plus rounds on it, It was my second pistol ever and the thing loves everything I thrown at it and is insanely accurate.
