I have a 226, a 229 and a 239. I also have a 938 but as essentially a mini 1911 the action is different than the others.
The p239 was kinda orphaned in a marketing sense. It is less than a 229, but can't compete with the mini 9s. sig also blurts out decent capacity magazines only very rarely making them doubling as a nightstand gun, which most mid sized guns can do hard to justify. It was carried I believe by air marshals for a while.
Still if you are already comfortable with the 226 or 229, the 239 is more concealable and the identical manual of arms is nice.
If you are exclusively looking at 229 in the sig line, whether you are comfortable carrying it depends on your size and if you ever wear warm weather clothes. It is a sizable gun
