Yea,my eyes are smoked.
Playing first person shooting games on the computer did not help at all.
Like others have posted here, after 40 years old,my eyes headed out and quickly.
Now,I have had to limit my computer sessions because of double vision issues.
But if I stay away from the computer,my eyes get better and my vision seems to stabilize.
Obviously, the computer and I are at a crossroads.
I use reading glasses most of the time now but on good days at the range,I can get some decent fifteen yard practice going on.
I used to be dead on at 25 yards with my Dan Wesson 357 at 25 yards but ha-ha-ha-I don't see that happening again unless I get totally off anything that strains my eyes,I start exercising again and I get enough sleep and eat right.
So fifteen yards it is.
And as far as apeture sights go,I have this wild feeling everytime I pick up this 1960's era 22 Remington target rifle with those on it at a local gun store.
This huge wood stocked rifle balances perfect and the sights are dead on for me.
Go figure.
But for handguns, those laser sights are something I have to say,is really appealing.
Especially when I just saw a guy take a P3at and shoot every round on target at 25 yards with a laser sight.
Not a bulleye grouping at any means but a real nice group for such a small pistol.
And his steadiness with that laser sight got him that group.
And there goes ANOTHER CHALLENGE.
Can you hold that laser sight steady enough to make it worth the expense?
I'm going to enjoy whatever I shoot.
And that's the bottom line to me.
And that starts with having guns you don't have to baby and that have inherently accurate characteristics from the start.
So getting older is a challenge but having fun shooting guns you enjoy shooting -at whatever range you choose to shoot -is one of the great joys of life.
I hope we have that forever.
Now where is the light switch in this range?
