Best wheelgun you ever had?

Funny my Dads collection somehow acquired a dozen model 10's.
He really had a soft spot for them.
He had a beautiful Canadian Mountie issue in hard nickel and stag grips that J thought was the pick of the litter.

WC-145,

Those are a couple of fine looking 45 ACP revolvers. I actually looked at that "CROWBAR" when it was on GB. Glad to see it found a good (appreciative) home.

I just aquired a Ruger Alaskan in 454, I am considering calling Gemini Custom to see if theycan do someing with it.

I've owned a bunch of revolvers over the years, from 22 to 44 magnum. Smith & Wesson, Ruger, Colt, Taurus, and a few others I don't remember.

I've sold most of them off now, but have kept a couple. The one I like the best, I actually bought twice. Traded it off, then turned around and bought it again. Good shooting gun.

Smith & Wesson, M&P 38, from 1955.

I'd put this recently acquired (lightly used) Alan Harton custom 50th Anv. 44 Mag Blackhawk right up there with any gun I've ever handled.

The slick action, superb trigger, nice fit and finish.... all the little details. Everything about it just feels "right" to me.

Believe this is my first post on here so go easy on me.

I have different "best" depending on what the purpose is.

My Best field carry is a S&W 629 4" that has helped me harvest more hogs than any other firearm I own. It has also several whitetails to it's credit. It's powerful enough to drop big hogs, not so big as to be difficult to carry while riding a 4-wheeler and is smooth and accurate.

My Best for just shooting is either a S&W 617 .22lr or a Colt King Cobra, both have 4" barrels. The 617 I shoot a lot due to cheap ammo, the Colt KC is also pretty cheap to shoot since I reload. Both are accurate and very smooth with crisp, light triggers.

My Best for carry (when I carry a revolver) is a S&W 340 M&P. It's light, small, pretty smooth after a lot of dry fire and action work and offers a lot of power in a small package. I like to shoot it with some reasonable SWC reloads but I can't shoot many magnums in it. It's surprisingly accurate considering the fixed sights. The front tritium sight is easy to see both in daylight and in the dark.

Honorable mention goes to any of my Ruger single actions. My Best is probably a Blackhawk Bisley .45 convertable. It's a beast and can really throw a heavy cast bullet with authority!

As I've written this, revolvers are a lot like children: I love them all, but each for different reasons. I even could say my NAA .22 Magnum is my best (if I'm pocket carrying).

Best? Well, I really liked my Colt New Service, but it's gone now. I really like my Pythons, but don't shoot them much. I miss my Diamondbacks something fierce, but my ex decided they suited her better and I didn't want to stick around just for the guns. I am happy with my Redhawk.

Yes, S&W 27 with a 5 inch barrel in VERY good condition. For a beat up 44 vintage Luger. That was over 30 years ago and I still kick myself in the back side every time I think about it.
Thanks for reminding me of it.:(

My best for fun at the range, is this Ruger Vaquero 44 Sheriff:

My best for concealed carry, Ruger SP101 worked over by Gemini Customs:

And my best for just being an all-around Badazz:S&W 66 snub

best wheel gun?

Smith and Wesson Outdoorsman 38/44 chambered for 357 magnum or my model 10. I always loved my model 25. Great guns.

I'm with Kevin, the OP....I have never had a revolver with a cleaner more "Swiss watch type" action than the Colt Officers Match revolvers. I recently acquired a pre-war gun and can not wait to shoot it!

I'm gonna have to admit it...I'm hooked. No other revolver has the "feel" of an OM

I'd have a hard time trying to find my favorite from all the handguns I've owned over the years...probably a hundred or more..., but I think I would have to consider the Freedom Arms 454 with a 6" barrel, and the S&W model 27 with a 5" barrel. I get nostalgic just thinking about the old 27.

Yeah Stoney, 5" barrels have that special feel in a S&W. As you can guess my "most memorable" is a Mod. 19 and a brand new issued badge. Still have the badge but the 19 is long gone. Sob!

Since I only own one when I was looking for a revolver I did my homework. Ended up with what most consider the best revolver ever made. It made a believer out of me. I am a proud owner of 1981 6 inch blue colt python. If I had to do it again I would buy the same gun
