Best movie for revolvers?

A very old TV movie called "a Shadow on the Land" had some excellent rapid fire work with a snub nose, Detective Special IIRC.
I remember it because I practiced rapid fire with a couple of revolvers after that. Got so I could make one sound like a burpgun and stay on target.
A constable drove up to investigate while I was shooting because from a distance he thought someone was shooting a Tommygun.
 
"Goodfellas" had a few snubs, Ray Liotta's character put a pretty good pistol whippin' on a guy for messin' with Karen.

Don't know if mentioned but my favorite is "The Outlaw Josie Wales". It is also my favorite Clint Eastwood movie.
 
Magnum Force and L.A. Confidential are at the top of my list. One of my personal favorites though is the Jesse Stone movie where he is wounded in the right arm and forsakes his 1911 for a revolver. The revolver he takes out of his nightstand is a Colt Detective "Fitz Special" with ivory grips. It's the same gun he carries in Blue Bloods. I believe the Colt is from his own personal collection. I don't have any desire to carry one but they are neat to look at. Fred Dryer of Hunter was mentioned as carrying a semi. He did later in the series but he started with a short barrel magnum revolver.:)

A Lemat is used in Tom Selecks Last Stand at Saber River. Seleck uses a Custom Cartrige Conversion.

A vote for "Cotton Comes to Harlem" for revolver work - and a few autos too. Even without the fight scenes there is an absolute classic "turn in your guns and badges" scene that leaves the commander's desk literally buried under guns. (No way two guys could have carried that much hardware without wheelbarrows, but still fun.)

Also a flick called I believe "Hickey and Boggs" with Robert Culp and Bill Cosby more or less reprising their "I Spy" shtick as private eyes using a M-29 S&W and a Colt Official Police ? successfully against goons with an M-60.
 
The Untouchables had a memorable scene that featured some fast snubnose shooting...just came to mind...

Goodfellas is a classic too...

Yeah great movie. Very seventies with two worn out anti-heroes and a downer of an ending. That's a young Michael Moriarty on the M60.

Hunter was mentioned by several and I checked IMFDB. Fred Dryer carried the following:
Seasons 1 & 2 H&K P9s w/compensator
Seasons 3 & 4 Astra Terminator .44 :eek:
Season 5 & 6 Beretta 92FS
 
Electra Glide In Blue (1973). Robert Blake carrys a Colt Python with a Pinto finish and his partner ,played by Billy Green Bush, appears to have a S&W Model 20 Heavy Duty.

Another good one is the original 1986 production of The Hitcher. A S&W Model 66, S&W Model 28 Highway Patrolman (though it could be a 4" Model 27) and a S&W Model 629 with a 2.5" barrel all appear in the movie.

I believe that 2.5" 29 was a Mag-Na-Port "Mini-Mag" Conversion done in the mid-late '80's. Pretty popular at that time....Sandpiper

You guys haven't got it yet. S&W 13, model 10 and a Colt Python all used in an Academy Award winning film.

Rolling Thunder with William Devine and Tommy Lee Jones. The scene where the police officer uses a model 36 in a shoot out with multiple bad guns. He gets all but one Luke Askew. Askew meets his end with Devine using a model 29.
