Best looking .357 revolver

My 1980 6 inch nickel wood gripped Colt Python. I paid 675 for it in like new condition a few months ago (if you look, you can find the deals). I've also got a 4 inch 686 on order, but for sheer looks I'll stick with the snake. And no, it's not for sale.

s&w 686 with combat wood grips in stainless.

All of the *&* .357 Mag's look good. A Model 19, 27 or 28 is the way to go, then dress it up in the Hogue wood grip of your choice.

Prettiest revolver I've ever had: COLT PYTHON
Best shooting revolver I've ever had: COLT PYTHON
Most reliable revolver I've ever had: COLT PYTHON
1st gun I'd pick for a fight: COLT PYTHON
If you didn't want a 357 how about a Colt Diamondback in .38??? Just slightly smaller frame size.
My second choice in .357 would be a Colt New Frontier. (I'd prefer the New Frontier over the Peacemaker beacuse of the versitility of adjustable sights. )

I absolutely LOVE those S&W model 13's, I have been looking for one for a long time. Just can't seem to find one. Tamara, I still think you should sell me yours so I can finally sleep at night. :D
3-4" model 19's are mighty nice too.

I wish I had my Model 28 4" with the ivory grips here with me in Pennsylvania. I could take a picture and post it...

The 28 looks absolutely RIGHT for a revolver, more so than even a Model 19.

With the ivory grips, the Model 28 looks absolutely PERFECT.

There are SO many choices.
Others have posted some excellent guns and beautiful photos.
Great stuff.
I think the one best profile of a .357 is the S&W Model 19 Snubnose...blue and wood factory grips. (Secretly, I want to get the new 649 Bodyguard in stainless/.357 configuration...sssh, don't tell my wife!)

If you only have ONE .357---
I'd say get one of these:
Ruger GKGP-161. Rugerese translation is High Gloss Stainless Steel GP-100 with sights, 6" bbl., and full-underlug.
I bought one and it's a beauty. Shoots nice, too. Easy to take apart and clean. Takes the most powerful loads vs. other brands that are not engineered for them. I use Hogue rubber fingergroove grips, but, a nice Kingwood grip is in the plan.
A 6" bbl. takes full advantage of the attributes of the .357 Magnum cartridge. Have fun with your "problem"...! :D
