Best, cheapest gun

I like the Bersa .380 and UC 9 I have. One was $219 and the other $305. I also had a Norinco 9mm that was a great shooter. I have read great things about the Kel Tecs. I think there are several good inexpensive guns.

Do you want metal or plastic? EAA EZ9 is a forth generation CZ99. It is basically an imported CZ05. Awesome metal gun,15 round mags in 9mm and CDNN has them for $299.99 with a free lazer right now. Best Nines say that is an $850 gun for half the price. All the 9x18mm Makarov guns are great too and the ammo is very affordable and available.

It isn't as blocky as people say? LoL, good one! Hey, if it works for you then it's a good thing but the slide feels like it weighs 3# all by itself and it's the size of a 2x4.

Yes, it is pretty darn heavy and I am not fond of plastic frames. I haven't shot it yet so this weekend it will get a workout. I got a box of ammo (WWB) and a holster with it. It is one of the Kydex type. I can't even imagine finding a nice leather one...and that would be like putting a $100 saddle on a $40 horse. Where I live, I can just throw it on the seat and go.

NIB cheapest hand guns that work is a Hi-Point 9mm pistol $175 or a EAA .357 Vindicator revolver $250

I'd have to call it a tie between the Rossi 461 I bought used at a nearby pawn shop about 3 years ago for $175, including a nice leather pancake holster... and the Polish P-64 I bought last month from a gun show for $150. close runner-up would be the Stoeger Cougar 8000 I bought two months ago for $300.

Larryh110p,you sound like a real educated man, I guess you did'nt know a 2X4 can kill too....like the student in Chicago. You dont know a thing about Hi-Point and I garanty you're so brave that you would not stand in front of one . . Just the looks of it would make you pass out...heheheh. I dont understand people like you that come out here and bad mouth a so-call piece of junk, I could understand criticizing a more expensive gun but it shows your intelligence when you pick on a so-called piece of junk. What? No one else will fess up to buying a Milsup Lucznik P64? Just shy of $200 out the door. Great little shooter!

What's the best, cheapest purchase you ever made on a hand gun?

Well, it's a bit of trading, BUT. I purchased a P22 new when they were like $225 or so. A friend of mine was wanting a .22 plinker, and I despised that pile of crap P22, so I traded him the P22 and $50 for my XD40 Bi-Tone Service.

He had bought the XD the summer before, and had only put a few boxes through it. I got a basically new XD40, with all the accessories and case, for the equivalent of $275.00.

My best, cheapest purchase would be a new in the box Hi point c9. Total price out the door after transfer paperwork from PA to Maryland, background check, and tax was $200.00 even. I love it more and more every time i pull the trigger.

stoeger cougar for 330 new.

the cougar is basically a Beretta. It's action is super smooth. So far its been completely reliable.

Maybe not the best shooter but the best deal. I just bought, at auction, a Colt .38 US Army model 1901 with all matching numbers for less than what I pay for a 50 rnd box of 38 ammo. 1st appraisal was $500-$750.

I bought a S&W Model 64 two years ago at an auction liquidating a security guard company in mint condition for $50!!! Also, my VG condition cz52 for $100 with holster and tools from Southern Ohio Gun.

Best cheapest

Picked up a S&W Mod 42 at a yard sale this summer. $250 with a box of ammo. The damn thing is accurate. If I try to get back from the wife she'll use it on me.
