Best and worst looking Wheelie!!

Just based on looks alone, I'd say a tie between the Colt 1860 Army and the 1861 Navy models.

Not being into black powder, my favorites would be a tie between the Colt New Frontier and Ruger Flat Tops, either with the 4 3/4"~4 5/8" barrels.

This just based solely on the lines only, not finish or engraving. Nor caliber choice.

Best looking I own: 6" mint Royal Blue Python. It just sort of glows.

Worst looking I own: Russian Nagant. It's a fascinating bit of revolver history, but not because of its looks.

Best: 3 1/2" S&W Model 27, I've always lusted after one.

Worst: Taurus Public Defender Polymer, I don't think I could even drink that gun pretty.

The Colt 1860 (this one is original) for nice, and one from the Darra pass for ugly.

Anything called a "wheelie."
I'm not a fan of cutesy nicknames given to guns that make grown men sound like 12yr old girls.

Wheelie
Revo
Shotty
Mossy
Remmy
Winnie (personal favorite to hate)
Savy
Annie

Etc., etc., ad nauseum. :(

Kinda how I feel about those that feel the need to belittle fellow gun owners at a time like this when we need to support. I grew up deer huntin' with my grandpa, dad and 3 uncles that all carried Lever Action 30-30s or .32 Specials. Guess what they called 'em? BTW.....at that time I carried Winnie 1897 Shotty known as "Big Bertha".:D

While I don't typically name my guns, I do admit to referring to my .45-70 affectionately as "Big Mona".

Colt 1860 Army is the best looking revolver. The worst is something foreign or a Ruger, neither of which I will own.

Ooops, sorry. My ugly one isn't a "wheelie". (I hate those cutsie names! Sounds like a bunch of teen-age girls).

Best looking wheelie? It's gotta be this guy:

If we're talking about revolvers, I'm partial to a nice balance between class and utility.

The same people who have always wanted to ban guns still want to ban guns so we're supposed to never disagree about anything??? Sounds very politically correct. Isn't that how "they" think?

I don't own one, but the Smith & Wesson Performance Center revolvers have always caught my eye.

I have a 6 inch Ruger GP 100 with the wood insert in the grips. I think the GP100 and the SP 101 are great looking revolvers. I think the 3 inch or 4 inch models look the most proportionate.

I like the way the Rugers look, too. Yeah, they may not be the prettiest girl at the dance, but they still look nice all dressed up. ;)

Best?

Worst?

And yes I have 'em both. M66 2 1/2 combat magnum (and the Ruger Security Six don't look bad either) and my trusty Webley pocket model in .38 S&W.

Best Looking? How about S&W N Frame guns, especially prewar like my Registered Magnum and .38/44 Outdoorsman:

Post War 5 screw N frames like these pre-27s count too:

Worst, how about a pre-War N Frame that has been badly butchered:

On second thought, it looks pretty darn good too.

When someone says a wheel gun, the first thing I think of is a old James Bond movie. The gun comes out of the wheel/hub cup and fires. If you call it a revolver I am not confused. If you call it a pistol I will ask, semi auto or revolver? A wheelie is done on a motorcycle or by a dragster.

My best looking revolver is a worn but well taken care of.

the ugliest is one of the handguns that sets in a safe and has never done what is was designed, Shot.
