AZ to Drop CCW Permit Requirement

The idea that I can travel east on I-10, through multiple states, and be armed and legal, is comforting to me and I for one do not want to lose that.

The reciprocity agreements between Arizona and other states will still be valid for AZ CCW permit holders, even under the new law. CCW permits in AZ will continue to be offered, as they were before, precisely for this purpose.
 
The AZ CCW training requirements have been reduced/changed by this bill passage. It is now allowed for training: DD214(military), Hunter Education, other states CCWs, active military etc. With so much publicity, other states 'will' relook at the AZ CCW to see if it still meets their states CCW requirements. The requirement by DPS for 8 hrs of CCW training has been removed and just training 'approved by DPS' added.
Time will tell of the effects of this bill.
