ATF: Reclassification of M855/SS109 ammo as armor-piercing

More worrying to me is the NFL seems to be willing to throw "gimme jobs" to Administration insiders who for one reason or another, can no longer remain on the public payroll.

While I hadn't though much about it one way or the other, things like this are no doubt, a contributing factor to the low regard in which I hold professional sports in general, and the NFL in particular.

That being said, we might be getting a bit far afield here, just my opinion though, I'm not a moderator here, just a sometime contributor.

Simple you ask 10 random people about healthcare and everyone will have an opinion, you ask those same 10 about thing like 5.56 ammo and gun laws and half of them won't even know there was debate in the first place or have no opinion at all.


My GUESS on the job, he was probably offered that long before the 5.56 green tip snafu. It was probably his "I'm out of here anyway, lets see what happens."

It doesn't matter if they know the truth.
They know what the media tells them

They just know they are "scary, evil, weapons of war"
 
Pretty much what Snyder said. Sadly, most folks will believe whatever the box with flashy lights tells them.

Fact checking is too bothersome for most. So most get brainwashed into believing whatever the MSM and anti' spew.
 
I have a friend that "can't tell the difference, or see any difference" between these 2 rifles.

Now here's the interesting thing, he's far from stupid & is mechanically inclined. He'll debate the differences between an M2 & an M3 Leica for hours! He just has this "black hole" for any kind of firearms information.

I think its pointless discussing technical firearms info of any kind with people with that mental attitude, it just isn't something they see a need to understand.

Ah, yes. Another of the "Eez gon ... eez danjerooz" crowd. That's all they know, that's all they need to know, and that's all they want to know.
 
Well one of em is clearly on a chair and the other is on a stump...

What's scarier than the attempted ammo ban, is what the actually got accomplished here in WA...
 
The attempt was shelved, and we're drifting off topic.

If legislation comes up to revive it, we can discuss that in another thread.
