Am I just a huge dork or...

my dogs wouldn't even have names if it weren't for the Wife and Daughter.

+1...

my dogs ( that I've named ) have been "buddy", "big girl" etc... not too much creativity

in fact... it must be herititary ( maybe like spelling skills ), cause I thought my name was "Damit", until I got into school & started spelling my name :o in fact one of my dogs when I was younger was named that as well...:o

nope... I don't name my guns... at least not so far... butt fit into the "dork" group though

I'm not a dork by any means.

But I am known as notorious idiot and professional internet jerk.:)

The only name I ever gave to a firearm was to my shotgun.

I like to call it "demonstrator".

Best said with a thick southern accent.

I don't name my guns, but I do name my scooters.

My first one was named Morphy, after my favorite chess champion, Paul Morphy. (Honda Metropolitan)

Then, it was Bud. (Genuine Buddy 125)

Now, it is Burgertime. (Suzuki Burgman 400)

Yeah, I'm a dork. You're in good company.

Guys, whether you know it or not, we're all dorks here. People who buy guns and plan on buying more and more, then come online to talk about it are dorks. Time to face facts, the rest of you dorks. :)

One of my favorite sayings: "Thank God I'm not cool, now I can do whatever I want."

If you're little bit crazy as a result of head injury, come from a country where people are startled by photography, or lived alone in the wilderness for a long time, go ahead and name your guns. Otherwise, no.

Sorry, I have to vote DORK on this one. My pistols are named. . .by their manufacturer: P-220, P-232. Good enough for SIG, good enough for me.

I DO admit to calling them by their caliber, though; 'my 45' or 'my 380' respectively.

Have a day. Bang Gunley

You are NOT a dork!!

Name your babies! My G19 is Thelma and my G26 is Louise. Still wokrkng on my naming my Mossberg shotgun and Ruger 22/45. Have to spend a little more time with them and get to know there personality a little better before deciding. If you can name your vehicles and boats, what's the difference with your guns??

dont know if this qualifies but my wife asks me if i have my
american express when we go out and i know what she means
(dont leave home without it!)

and some times she asks if i have my little friend too

but they dont have specific names

I love it when people call each other, or themselves "dorks".

You obviously don't know what a "dork" is in the traditional sense.

Or do I?

Or we could use the Engvallian term

Mostly my "Front-Stuffers"; If was good enough for Jim Bridger it's good enough for me. I suppose in one way or another, we are all Dorks, especially when I wear one of my favorite hats, that my wife just loves. ... :barf:

One of my M/L's, is named "Old School" :o

Be Safe !!!

If thar be sech a thang as a RedNeck Yankee, Then I be it !! ......

Well, if some folks name certain anatomical appendages (that make most of their important decisions), why can't I name my SIG Henry?:D

No, I don't name my guns...that hasn't stopped my wife. :D
I have a large envelope from DCM. It came with my M1...books and papers and info about the rifle. So I wrote M1 Garand on it. One day, while she is picking up magazines, she ask..." who is Mr. Garrard?"
I almost cracked a rib! My M1 is the only named firearm in my safe. :o

Some come pre-named...Let me introduce you to Elsie P, recently of Pompano and on vacation in Arizona for a little R & R (repair and replacement).
