Am I just a huge dork or...

...does anyone else out there name their guns? I haven't had my PT111 Pro long, so it doesn't have a name yet, but I've been mulling it over. My Hi-Point doesn't get a name, it's too utilitarian a tool for that, but my carry weapon I think needs some personalization. Maybe I am just a dork. If so, so be it. If not, let me know what you've named yours. Throw in pics if you want.

In the Police Academy

in mid November one of my instructors posed the same question. He then told us he had just named his GLOCK Obama. "Cause when I pull Obama out, CHANGE IS COMIN' ".

Sadly, I must agree with NAKing. There are many things to name, but tools are not one of them (unless it is REALLY special to you :D)

Should of made this a poll, and I would have voted for dork. Sorry to have to tell it to you straight, lol.

"Lucille" is a good rifle's name, if you are to be born again hard & serve in the beloved Corps. ;)

I was once sorely tempted to name my .416 Rigby "Eleanor" but wound up resisting it.

Can't say as I've ever named a handgun.

But, as they say, whatever works...
More power to ya.

I had a friend who named his rifle after his detailer's mom. Not a smart move...

Personally, I think every good firearm deserves the love and attention of a woman. You treat her right, she'll treat you right. ;)
