A "Craigslist" for guns: Armslist

Armlists seems to have a lot of low end stuff like HiPoint Carbines for $250 and such. Still it seems a good site.

The more sites out there the better off we are.

I agree, the more armed Americans and resources we have the better, I put this together, Top Gun Classifieds, might be fun to watch. Considered yet another classified site, like we need one of those right?, chose this instead.

Ranks by hits out of the page and doesn't require the folks who join to put a "button" on their page like most.

Thought they deserved one of their own. Only national classifieds in there so far, room for state/region classifieds too.

Enjoy,

Blow a hole in it.

Just tried to list a gun for sale on Armslist but it would not accept my listing for some reason. Kept telling me that the price I put in the price box was unacceptable! Wouldn't say why. I just had it appraised by a FFL! Anyway, that site didn't work for me.

If you put a $ in that field, it will kick it out as an invalid entry. It tripped me up a few times as well.

I have talked with the owners of armslist and he would be happy to hear feedback, and if there is a bug where a $ sign messes things up he would i am sure work to correct that.

We noticed this thread and will be changing the field so the $ thing doesn't trip people up anymore, thanks for the info.

We aim to constantly improve the site.

Thanks from your friends at Armslist.com

Thanks, I've used Craigslist before, but a national search would help more. With Craigslist, you have to choose local areas which makes it harder to find gear.

Armslist is definately working.

Armslist definately worked for me.

I recently had two oddball revolvers that I wanted to sell at a good price without having to haggle too much, without being skinned by a gun shop owner, without having to pay a percentage to anyone and without having to go to the post office.

I tried out armslist along with gunsamerica and gunbroker, while also showing them around the local gun shops and passing fliers around to some of my friends, and while my ads got few views and no replies on gunsamerica and gunbroker, and no acceptable offers from the local gun shops and no calls from the fliers, through armslist.com I had both of my revolvers sold for a reasonable price within two weeks.

I would like to suggest something to anyone thinking about the idea that armslist "only" gets between 50,000 and 100,000 visitors each month, and is therefore not a viable way to sell your guns.

Because armslist is not a huge well known site, the people who do go there are there because they are interested in buying and selling guns, not fiddling around.

Because armslist is a local free classified, where private sales between locals is the idea, people are much more willing to consider purchasing a gun they see there for the simple reason that they will not have to deal with shipping, or FFLs, and will get a chance to handle and inspect the firearm first hand before purchase.

I check armslist daily, knowing that if I see something I really want, or a real steal, that I can be in contact with the person and be sitting down with them to get my heart's desire with only a short drive and within a couple of days.

I am very happy to have been able to use armslist to sell my revolvers, and am VERY excited about the site. I hope everyone who is going to sell a gun that reads this post will take the extra five minutes to post their gun on armslist as well, so that I can get a free look at it.

YAY ARMSLIST!!

Armslist is a nice clean, no nonsense site and still at the top.

Several new ones in here, patriotslist lets you post youtube videos now.

Cool for gun reviews if you can find a good one I guess.

Nutnfancy has a bunch of video gear and gun reviews, etc.

Very detailed videos if you haven't seen them.
