I love all my S&W's but I gave my vote to Ruger. They came up with something totally different from all the other products they've put out.....with a hell of a price to boot!

Some great products from many but I'd put the Handgun of the year as the H K P30, HK continues to make really good but really expensive 3 lifetime precision rescue from thug instruments.

Best, or newest?

Walther, Kahr, and Ruger.

All have great new conceal carry guns. Who best? Flip a coin.

I voted ruger because of the new LCP, SR9, and the 327mag.

seems like ruger has done well this year.

I myself am leaning to buy P99.

What about G21SF?

HKP30?
HK 45?

I think that HK has outclassed everyone in their 2008 products.

I voted ruger because of the new LCP, SR9, and the 327mag.

I know that Ruger introduced two new designs, but doesn't the fact that two of the three have been recalled kind of diminish the effort? I'm not bashing Ruger, and I own and love the product, it's just that Ruger seemed to let theirs fly a little premature this year. I didn't vote Ruger for that reason only.

I voted HK. Just a lot of hype to the Glock 21SF and not really much has changed. HK has taken a durable, reliable, proven weapon and made it a whole lot better in many ways. Glock took a durable, reliable, proven weapon and made a couple minor changes.
I do like it better than the original Glock 21, but just feel like Glock didn't put forth much effort to appeal to it's customers as HK has. I guess they don't need to.

FN has also done a outstanding job as well as Beretta, S&W, and Sig Sauer with their new product line.

Yet Glocks are becoming more and more expensive. I think that is due to several reasons. They make excellent handguns and the following is like a crowd of flesh eating zombies swarming around a populated city :D

Is Ed Wilson a combonation of Ed Brown and Bill Wilson?
I voted for them because they are both top makers in the 1911 world. 2 for 1 I guess.

simply producing tons of new models without quality means nothing. Ruger and taurus fell in to this category this year. 2 recalls for ruger semis and well taurus continues its pathetic customer service and quality finishing.

In all honesty I think ruger should stick with six shots.

Smith and Wesson is only one shy of the leader, Ruger! I had to vote S&W for my new M&P. I think they must really like the "&".

S&W M&P only because the gun has truly given Glock a run for it's money and restored my faith that American companies can still produce a competitive new product in the marketplace with more than passing impact.

Take Care

Bob
ps Dropped the price of Glocks up here by $200!

If you're going to do polls lets put some thought behind them first to add some legitimacy to them..........."most popular" and "best" are two very different things.

When Dan Wesson (CZ) finally did the right thing and up'd the LPI on the front strap of it's Commander Bobtail (CBOB) 1911 - just by 5 lpi to 25, but what a difference in refinement--it created a new gun to me...a great one and still the best value out there. A refined 1911 out of the box. Second vote would go to DW's Valor just coming onto the market in the past few months. Semi-custom, still for a grand (or more) less than a similar EB, Wilson, etc. What's not to like (for their respective prices) with these?!
