your only gun: Bulg.Mak or Kel-tec?

Makarov vs Keltec. I have both, I like both, but they are quite different. If you are a beginner, get the cheaper Makarov and a dozen mags and a case of ammo. The DA 1st shot trigger pull is no fun, but the followup SA shots are sweet. The heavier gun soaks up more recoil, so your sights stay on target and you feel more accurate. You will need a good holster for carry, and this always means buying several to try out. My Makarov is totally reliable, but I don't carry it anymore because I have better results from my Keltecs.
The Keltec P-11 is much lighter, no sharp edges, no levers or controls to forget, holds more rounds of a more powerful and more available cartridge, has a consistent trigger pull which helps accuracy,
and has a belt clip which works great so a holster is optional. The light weight is the major factor in deciding whether or not to carry a gun. The Keltec p-32 at about half the weight makes a good backup, but that is another topic.
Unless this is your first gun, get the Keltec P-11. Or be like me and get both.

The belt clip is the best accessory I have bought! Probably only appropriate for my p11 but it works so well with it. Who needs a holster with the Keltec! I think I spend the most time fiddling and fondling the Keltec.
