Okay this has probably been done before, but I just wanted to see what your first gun was. mine was a NEF single shot 12 ga shotgun.

My very first firearm was a Ruger "Standard" .22
It was both reliable and accurate but for some reason, I just never liked it.

If we're talking about "hand me downs", I don't remember the brand but it was a single shot 20 gauge shotgun. But the first gun I bought was a "Sig Sauer P226 9mm"

Winchester 1892-? pump in .22 short,,,

I bought it at a farm auction (1961) for $5.00,,,
It was missing the magazine rod,,,
So it was now a single-shot.

I didn't appreciate exactly how fine a rifle it was,,,
All of my friends had repeaters, some semi-automatics,,,
I felt like the low man on the totem pole with that old clunker.

Wish I had it now,,,

It was a Marlin Model 60 .22lr, and I was 7 yrs old. My Pop bought my brother and myself both one that year. I still have it and wouldn't trade it for anything.

My dad taught me shooting with a Remington 550 .22lr rifle. My uncle ended up with that. I shot a .22 BSA pellet gun when I was a kid.
....skip ahead 20 years....
My first firearm was an Arisaka t38 carbine.

Remington 870

bought the wingmaster 870 pump back in 1978 or 79.still looks like it just came out of the box today and after thousands of rounds shoots even better.
