I respect most people's opinions, even those I don't agree with. Just because I don't happen to agree with your idea of a "dream rifle" should be no cause for angst on your part. It's just an opinion (one that I've previously expressed in a thread predating this one as I've already recounted), not a "slam", and a very subjective one at that.
I hope your dream (my nightmare :)) is realized someday soon.
 
well im workin on gettin my ar-10 that I have wnated for a long time. Now I just got to work on getting a thermal imaging scope for it. That would be my dream rifle. Already getting the ar-10 just need the 14K scope now.

Jeff Cooper's Scout ..... the one made up on the Remington 600.

Within reason, though, I'd like to have one of the new Ruger Scout rifles, but in .260 Rem, with a 20" barrel and the muzzle threaded for a suppressor.....
 
A scaled Winchester model 70 Pre64 that would just fit 357 Magnum. Really short action, single shot with receiver sights and a nice gold bead on the front sight. If it were scaled correctly it should weigh in just about 5.5 to 6 pounds.
