....but with brand new brown finish instead of bluing, fancy walnut, and a VX-II 2-7x28mm Ultralight on Talley lows.
 
One of the first Henry's they ever produced. That would be my choice. I have loved them since I was a kid.
Not the fake ones they make now,although they are good rifles, but a real .44rimfire Henry. I will probably have to settle with a Uberti copy becouse I think I could never afford a real one.
I guess thats why this thread is called Your Dream Rifle.

Would have to be one of Terry's cross's Sentinel S.W.S. Chambered in 6.5Lr.

and my second would be a a GAP gladius chambered in 6.5x47L.

:eek: You've got to be kidding! A week or so ago, there was a thread started asking members to nominate the ugliest rifle they've ever seen. I cast my vote for the Winslow :o. Workmanship and finish on the pricey Winslow rifle was first class, but, oh my, the looks of them would have made Roy Weatherby blush. No denying, I guess, that "beauty is in the eye of the beholder"...:)
 
dgludwig, Winchester mod 71. WOW I had never looked at a mod 71 Deluxe but after doing a search I came to realize that I had over looked some fine rifles.But IMHO. Your not taking the PROM QUEEN to the dance either.I'll take my chances with the UGLY WINSLOW.THANKS for the slam just the same:D:D

I haven't got a 'one size for all' dream rifle. I have dreams about various versions and calibers. For instance, I've got some of my dream rifles already:

However, I'm still missing my dream Uberti 1873 Special Sporting 45 Colt levergun, my dream Pedersoli 1886 premium 45-70, my dream 308 AR, etc., etc., etc.
 
It is my Garand: service grade from the CMP last summer.

The only dream left is cheaper ammo, or stable prices for a long time (not with fuel costs etc..)..

Maybe one of the many bankrupt "Euro Zone" countries which truly needs cash, will have the backbone to violate whichever regulations forbid exporting more ammo and sell much more to our importers, whether .303, .308, 30-06 etc.
They might have already been paid to destroy it :(, along with their surplus military rifles (bolt-action and semi/select fire).
