You Are All Fools!!!

LOL!

Ok, so what do we do if we like a 1911 and Brittney? (yeah... sure, she's a virgin... and if my grandmother had wheels, she'd be a wagon.)

CB, that was great. FWIW, I'm new to the sport, but it took me only about a 150 rounds through a SIG, H&K and Colt, to figure out that a 1911 was just about the most perfectly designed gun out there, in every respect. Bought myself a Kimber Custom Eclipse II (which almost meets your criteria), and a Walther P99 (which definitely doesn't). The P99 is a very nice gun (I call it my 'techno-popsicle' or 'ergo-gun'), but the 1911 just maxes out top points in all categories - reliability, function, ergonomics, aesthetics. One of the most perfectly designed devices ever created.

Thanks for the great post... even if it wasn't in jest! Those of us who are secure enough with our own decisions won't be offended.

Regards,
RK

parabellum9x19 asked "The U.S. Army dropped the 1911 for the M9. Does the U.S. Army SUCK THE SKUNKWEED DOOBIE???"

A. Not in Europe, they suck the skunkweed hash there. :p

My skunkweed doobie suckin', swishy-little-wristed, watercress samich (with the crusts cut off) eatin', Glock 10mm shootin' self was not being unpatriotic and uncaring! Mommy said it was okay to buy a Glock because recycling is good for the environment!:p :D

I'm still trying to figure out...

...what my grade is on this scorecard.

I like my 1911's, so I rule.
But I like my Glocks, too, so I'm supposed to like someone named "Britney Spears".
Some of my guns are 10mm, so I must be hoo-ah.
But some are not, so I also like watercress sandwiches with the crusts cut off.
Most are customized to one degree or another, so I care.
But some are revolvers, so I'm old-fashioned.

Best I can tell, I'm a ruling, Britney Spears-loving, hoo-ah, watercress sandwich-eating, caring, old-fashioned individual.

Do I have that right, CastleBravo? ;)

BTW, funniest post I've read all year. :D:D:D

Enough of this foolishness. Wipe those :Ds off your faces and get ye to a stopping power arguement. Immediately!

Ooo.. I see some over there...

I'm laughing...on the inside...where you can't see it.... :D

But, since I already know that I'm a fool, there's no revelation to be had here.:p

The DE is a fine pistol I am sure. I have never shot one but can someone share a little history with me. Why was it discontinued? Just a lack of sales or was it not holding up to the 10mm pounding? I am enjoying my Glock 20 at present. I really don't see what all the hoopla is about with regard to muzzle blast and recoil. Mine has less recoil than the G21 or G23 that I have owned. This past weekend I had an ammo fest with mine. I don't reload but I now have tried Ga Arms, Hornady, Winchester, Federal, PMC and CCI in mine. I like the Winchester Silvertips best and was real disappointed in the Federal Hydrashoks. They were very "watered down". Does any gunmaker still offer a 1911 style 10mm? Sorry I am rambling but I am new to the 10mm scene.

Glocks are made from recycled Ken dolls? No wonder my Glock starts twitching when I'm toy shopping for my niece and nephew and walk by the Barbie dolls. ;)

Heh, heh...

They have so many "Special Edition" Barbie dolls that I figure this will be the hot item for Xmas:

Barbie HumVee available separately. Batteries not included.

Castle Bravo:

It's a shame you told everyone it was all a joke. If you hadn't done that, the Wild Pomeranian would have thought he had found a soul mate.

Sounds like my kinda woman :p

Funny post CastleBravo, but if it's not chambered for .45, it aint a 1911!! :D

As a long time sufferer of a wide variety of conditions like Post-traumatic Birthday-clown separation anxiety disorder, and diminutive equine deficiency disorder, I find being called a fool very hurtful to my fragile sense of self-worth. To have that compounded by someone poking fun at my Glock 10mm is almost more than I can bear.

Can't we work toward letting the healing begin?;)
