Hey guys:

With all the information we have on both candidates, who do you plan to vote for?

It is becoming evermore clear that Bush may have lied to start a war in Iraq, where countless soldiers have been killed, for what may be no valid reason at all. Bush supports the 2nd amendment. The latest polls that I have seen shows he is losing support.

On the other hand, Kerry wants to get the soliders out of Iraq. He also wants to destroy the 2nd Amendment. Kerry is gaining support.

OK, now who can you vote for? Bush-keep the 2nd, and keep the soldiers in Iraq?

OR, Kerry who will destroy the 2nd, but will bring our soldiers home?

I personally want to vote for Bush, because I believe he is the only candidate that will support our gun rights, but on the other hand, our soldiers are dying for what seems is a worthless cause.

What does everyone else think?

Thanks for your input.

Erick

"I personally want to vote for Bush, because I believe he is the only candidate that will support our gun rights, but on the other hand, our soldiers are dying for what seems is a worthless cause."

Is it Bush's support for renewing the assault weapon bill that leads you to think he supports the 2nd Amendment? Or prehaps it's his stellar record over the past 4 years of actively pushing for the repeal the unconstitutional legislation regarding firearms. I've seen NOTHING from this President that indicates to me that he supports the 2nd Amendment. Here is the latest press release (2003) on this poster boy of our RKBA. It's an easy choice for me, I'm voting Libertarian. I stopped buying into the "lessor evil" arguement.

"On the other hand, Kerry wants to get the soliders out of Iraq."

Actually Kerry has said hw would send MORE troops to Iraq.

I'm with rick_reno on this one...Unless of course "none of the above" or "No acceptable choices" gets PRINTED on the ballots - In which case I'll vote Libertairian in the "runoff" special election.

I don't like any of the candidates including the Libertarian candidate. I'm considering simply not voting for President this go-round. Indiana will go Bush with or without me, so I don't see why I should waste my vote on bad candidates when I can waste it on a silly write-in.

Care to expand on this one a little?

Fix! Haven't you heard of Farenheit 911 yet?

I mean why consider that every President (and all of their Intel groups) since Carter has considered Saddam to have had WMDs (because Saddam USED them at Halabja and other places) when we have the left's favorite gasbag Mr. Moore to preach the gospel? Get with the program bud! :p :D

Bush without doubt or question. Pick an issue: Guns, abortion, taxes, religion, whatever. I could never vote for a representative of what has become the Socialist Democratic Party.

I'm going on the basis of what I've heard and seen. John Kerry claims to be pro 2nd amendment on his website, but supports The Brady Bill, HCI, etc...In recent ad campaigns for Kerry, he even has a "stop the NRA petition" on his website. It is clear he supports the extension of the AWB.

It is clear that George W. supports the second amendment. Look here: http://www.georgewbush.com/News/Read.aspx?ID=2461

I wasn't able to find anything about George W. signing/veto the AWB.

I'll end up voting for Bush probably, unless the Libertarian party has a stronger hold, only because of the Second Amendment. I grossly disagree what is happening in Iraq. Too many soldiers are dying. Its clear that most Iraqi's don't want us there, so lets pull our soldiers out and let the Iraqi's continue to fight. We can't be the world's peacekeepers. Too many of our soldiers have been killed.

I think that 9/11 should have brought us to realize that saving the rest of the world helps us avoid problems at home.

What passed for scrap metal and has since been discovered as otherwise is amazing. Inspectors have found Iraqi SA-2 surface-to-air missiles in Rotterdam -- complete with U.N. inspection tags -- and 20 SA-2 engines in Jordan, along with components for solid-fuel for missiles. Short-range Al Samoud surface-to-surface missiles were shipped abroad by agents of the regime. That missing ballistic missile site contained missile components, a reactor vessel and fermenters -- the latter used for the production of chemical and biological warheads.

Since Kerry stated in the Congressional Record that I and every other Viet Nam vet was "a murderer and a war criminal" I'm not only voting for Bush but putting a strong Irish curse on anybody who aids Kerry by either voting for him or voting for one of the guaranteed loser canidates or by abstaining from voting altogether.
Take your sactimonious "none of the above"s and put 'em where... well, you know where. Aid and comfort to the enemy is not only an overt act, inaction can help them just as much. :barf:

Yep. I DO know where. The ballot box.

OK We seem to have one more vote for Police State.

Though I'm not so sure we shouldn't be in Iraq, just not in the way we now are. Some of the newer stuff leaking out about the TWA800 incident suggest that it was an attack (Duh!! Surprise) and that there are links to Iraqi based groups. But I do disagree with many of the tactics used. After all we did NOT declare war on ALL of Iraq - yet we seem to forget this when dealing with the population there. If we are going to play "global doctor" and remove the "cancerous" regiemes....are we going to get a global sized FEE? Didn't think so.

The opinion of 10,000 men is of no value if none of them know anything about the subject.

Wow, I didn't know Kerry would go so far as to say in a Congressional Record that you "and every other Viet Nam vet was a murderer and a war criminal" has made up my mind. I can't support anyone who does not support our soldiers, either past or present.

To all of the Vets out there, whether they are Vietnam, or whatever: I'm truly sorry that you had to put your lives on the line and have people over here not support you. Thats just Un American. I will always support and pray for our soldiers who have to fight, for sometimes unjust causes. I just pray that they make it home safely.

On his website, Kerry says he supports the troops, but I guess its quite the opposite from what I've heard here. That's great. Thank you. You guys just helped me make up my mind to support Bush.

Have a great day everyone.
