Why the HELL is our former Attorney Gen on the Saddam Defense Team??

We supported Saddam for years

Remember he was our guy for years. Just went to far when it was found out that he tried to have Geo. Bush number one assassainated.

They want this to be a trial where you can't say Saddam did not have a defense. Look all is fair in love and war right? Well we are at war.
Better Clark than someone who is not in the know and will do what he thinks is right regarding the trial.

Saddam does not want to go to trial, he will and is being humiliated and it is the best thing that can happen. He wants to die like his sons but, he had his chance and now he know's his history is going to be one big look see for the rest of his society and he does not want that. Major coward and the world will see. I hope so anyway.

He is doing his best to have himself killed, hasn't happened yet. I have not checked this mornings news yet though.

Give it a break on Clark, better him than Hillary or Bill. All in the name of American Justice Guys...Democracy in action...

Marky, one liners. Reminds me of other sites.

Well I am not so sure your post is regarding the subject at hand, but then I usually look at to many things just to stick to the issue.

But the issue is why are we doing what we are doing and where will it get us if Clark is over there representing Saddam the killer and butcherer we backed for so many years?

Democracy, you have to either understand it or not. To many want it one way when in fact it is a two way street.

When in power they want it one way and when not in power they want it another way, it is just politic's:barf:

Sorry about the one-liner, im not familiar w/this stuff, this is my first and only forum i/ve ever been on, im kinda new to the whole computer thing (gimmi a break, this is W.Va.)just kidding. Well let me say this then, i hope he's in the building when they blow the place to heck and back, justice and all the fair play stuff for someone who's been dragging people out in the street and choppin thier heads off in front of thier familys for the last 30+yrs. just dont get it for me. He deserves the ol'e in front of the oncomming semi for me. Why drag it out . Of course it's up to god to deal w/him, but i want someone to arrange the meeting ASAP. see ya, gotta go to work. But like i said, im new to this stuff, my son left this contraption on when he joined the army and iv'e just been feeling my way thru it, it took me 3 days to figure out how to post a ''thread'', w/help from Olaf. , later man

First off, Clark is a moonbat.

Next, Saddam was never "our guy". We might have used him as a fool to contain the Iranians, but he was never on our side.

Clark was Carters AG. He,s not there because of some singular devotion to truth justice and the American way. Hes there to challenge the credibility of the court. In doing so he allows the leftists here to continue to use the war as a political tool. He already did as much today during court. How is anyone surprised at this? Was there some doubt as to where some leftists loyalties lay? Anything to make America look bad, provided of course theres a Republican in office. If theres a democrat in office and somethin bad happens ...well we send sandy burglar in to steal docs. from the archives to cover our butts.

I know this is a stretch, but has anybody considered the idea that he wants to make sure that Saddam gets a fair trial? You know, innocent until proven guilty, competent representation, due process?

Possible motive for others, not Clark. This is just one more step on his silly crusade to prove that the source of all evil in the world is the U.S. of A.

According to the Great Super Democrat God on Earth above all Human Laws, Bobby "The bloated" Kennedy, US Senate, DEM MA. in commenting on Lawyers proposed for the Supreme Court, who is BTW a Lawyer. Lawyers DO support and endorse any position they defend, in writing under any circumstances or in court.

Therefore, Ramsey Clark must be a pycho mass murderer.

Who does not agree with Senator Kennedy. :barf:

Why the HELL is our former Attorney Gen on the Saddam Defense Team

Lack of the political will to try the Marxist SOB for treason back in 1970 when he should have been.

And to date, the Democrats have never repudiated Clark.

That Wiki article

Was pretty eye opening. I guess since he was a Marine I just had my head up my arse or something. The man is a bloody traitor.

The man has lost his marbles and Marky your one liner covered it all. My apologies. The man is a menace. It will be interesting if he does meet his maker over there. Got to be some people who might not cover his 6 if you get the drift.

Democracy at work or is it going to be the downfall if it continues like this one.:o

if you were an attorney on Saddam defense team, would you allow an attorney in who worked for the same government that arrested your client and is holding him captive??? Wouldn't you be nervous that Ramsey Clark would have some loyality to his country?...

An attorney general under Clinton... have some loyalty to his country?!

BWA-HAW-HAW-HAW-HAW-HAW!!

Good one, mikeyboy!

Clark has played his one-trick pony since LBJ. The guy was an official America hater then and it looks like he's not changed. As much as I wanted to see Saddam dangle (or whatever the Iraqi equivalent is) I had a deep down feeling that pulling him alive out of the hole was a bad thang.

How much you wanna bet that Ramsey and Saddam will be successful in OJ'ing the trial. At some point someone will have to point out to the defendant that his trial is a mere formality. The government has the gun and Saddam don't. That is reality.

Premise: Defense attorneys are complicit in the crimes of their clients.
Fact: A competent defense insures that the conviction will stand.

Did this lawyer SUCCESSFULLY defend Slobodan Milosevic, PLO terrorists and Elizaphan Ntakirutimana? Do you believe Clark thinks he's going to get Saddam off with community service?

I notice that no one is quoting Clark's stated reasons for taking these cases, and is only presuming that his work is proof of some sort of sympathy for murder.

The very worst you could say about the guy is that he seems to prefer the challenge of impossible cases. At best, he is doing his bit to insure that Saddam never gets an appeal and that no one can say that the US was just out to get him.

If you believe in justice, then you must believe that professionals MUST offer a zealous defense of ANY client. No matter what the crime, race, sex, motivation or history that client has.

I think this thread serves, yet again, to demonstrate just how poorly Americans understand the structure of government, law and rights. This kind of action taken, DESPITE public outcry, is a noble defense of a just system. Failing to understand that is a major reason why we vote away our rights with such regularity.

ramsey clark

I swear, im getting to the point of just barfing when i turn on the tv these days, (glad i found this forum), but i swear J. Kerry, T.Kennedy, N. Pulosi, B. Boxer and now this Clark bum is really getting on my nerves. I must say i had no idea of all this crap going on in this country, i was standing in front of the T.V. gettin dressed when 911 happened and have been a news junkie ever since, but it's getting so much of a downer watching what the extreme liberals are trying to do to this country. Has it always been like this? My god people should stop worring about the civil war in iraq and had better worry about our own!, i just cant believe the stuff that goes on. Crap like being more worried about offending a young arab man while being ''profiled'' at a air port than checking him out is nutz. They let a young arab man walk past and start searching a old lady in a wheelchair cause they dont want to ''offend him''! Its insane, i guess its gonna take a few more 911's to wake people up. I give up, its like whipping a dead horse. see ya
