He did not say that it was fun to shoot people.
He said that it was fun to shoot SOME people.
Just a variation on the "He needed killin" theory. And he was talking to a military audience to whom that type of posturing and gallows humor would not be unexpected.

Notice the title of the story on the controlled media network CNN, they do that on purpose. So the neo-cons can go, "look it's just CNN bias" and the phony left can go "oh look at that horrible baby killer".

I've never been in a combat situation so I don't know whether shooting "some people" could be described as "fun" or not, but I think the guy was stupid to the hundredth power for saying such a thing within earshot of the press!
 
Actually we live in a country now where its more acceptable to lie then tell the truth, it's a matter of being PC at all times, while I can understand some of it, trust is a very difficult thing to have when listening to anyone in our modern world. :(
 
This man is the Commandant of the Marine Corps. If anyone can supply me a job description for "Marine" that doesn't involve killing I'd like to hear it.

If someone was trying to shoot me and I shot them first that would be fun for me becasue it wouldn't be fun for me to get shot. Ok? Simple enough!

when the dirty work needs to get done, sometimes its all you can do to make it bearable. i am always amused how the folks that benefit directly from the dirty work are the ones that are either unwilling or incapable of doing it themselves, and are also the ones that make the most noise about it.

we all get what we deserve in the end

"Fun" might have been the wrong word, but it can't be argued that some people deserve death in the most rapid fashion possible.

If they were white people blowing up our soldiers I'd say shoot them as well. It's not our fault they happen to be another color and wear towels on their heads.
 
Yep - we're talking terrorists here folks. I don't care what they wear of what color they be. Each one of thier deaths is enjoyable as far as I'm concerned.

They are not human beings, having lost that status through thier actions.
