But is there a RLC candidate running? I didn't see one.
There are many RLC candidates running, including <gasp!> incumbent candidates:
Here is a list of RLC endorsed candidates:

Here is a list of the RLCs take on various Congressional members:

I don't see any endorsement for a Presidential candidate if that is what you mean. For myself, I will probably vote Bush unless the semi-auto ban is renewed. If you don't feel you can vote for either major party-candidate, I certainly don't blame you; but I'm afraid the message you think you are sending and the message the major parties receive are a bit different.
The message the major parties will receive is "Hey, if you need between 0.36% and 1% of the vote and can move our way without alienating more voters than you gain, you know where to find us!"
As much as I support many libertarian ideas, there is going to be a lot more education of the public necessary befofe those ideas are made into reality. This is one reason I am disappointed in Badarnik's nomination. The LP took their once-every-four-years chance to reach a few new people and turned it over to a guy who doesn't make the best or most persuasive arguments for his principles.
And Don Quixote "tilted" at windmills (imagined threats). Are the ones we are discussing really imaginary?
No, the threats certainly aren't imaginary; but the LPs approach to addressing them has been no more useful or practical than tilting at windmills would be.
