Why are there no integrally suppressed centerfire pistols?

"I've been going to the same outdoor range for years and have NEVER had a visit without at least one person there with a silencer."

Andy, I have not done a survey, but at least in my area a suppressor is a rarity, even though there is no law preventing ownership. There just doesn't seem to be a lot of interest.

"A gunshot in a small room COULD permanently damage your ears or the ears of others in your family. And if your ears have already started the decline of age, there's going to be a noticeable effect, or a long, aggravating bout of tinnitus that may NOT ever go away."

Seeing as it's not unheard of for tinnitus to drive people to depression and even suicide, avoiding it cannot be encouraged enough. It'd be really stupid to lose your mind over one piece of lead, for want of a fancy tube.

"DID Anyone consider this : ALLMOST all centerfire pistols are recoil operated and a suppressor is the finest of recoil brakes. There is NOTHING left to operate the pistol.
THINK !!
And so it goes..."
On some guns it's an issue, and on those guns there's a device in the can which acts as a recoil booster. Checkmate.

Folks forget that cans have been around for like 150years, now, and yet are still in use everywhere imaginable. Every design issue was overcome a century ago.
