While i'm not a 9mm fan, i ended up with one in a trade. I like to keep a 9mm around just to have one. About a year ago the guys here were talking about the CZ 75b and how they liked it. So, i was at a small arms bazaar and there it was laying on a table. It had the electro (sp) finish and the padded factory grips that fit around the front. It was nice to look at and felt really good in my hands. I took it home, shot it, and it's not for sale. Everyone who has shot it has been impressed. BTW, except on the CZ page, i have not seen another one like it.

CZ 75--Why? It points it shoots it's just good.Factory run in and hand finished.I've tried the others, some are more slicked up--usually clones--Bernadelli does a good one---Jericho does a crappy one, with a bad grip.I had a Beratta 92F,a good gun, after I tried the CZ,I sold it.The CZ is easily the best design, and reliable beyond normal "Jammomatic" standards. To be fair,I can only suggest to anyone that they try it out--you won't be dissappointed.

Well Make it one more

With the Cz-75 and the Berreta 92FS you've got eveything covered. Combat, CCW, and Plinking.

Best overall

These are all good choices. I went for a Glock but the there are just too many variables not addressed. My ego isn't large enough to try to tell some one else what to carry.

Glock 17
I voted for the glock17. Why? Because the only 9's I have owned are rugers and glocks. For me the Glock just seems to fit and feel better. IMHO

Having lived in "wild" places in the third world, I often had the need to hide my gun.
While the Berettas rusted when just left in a cabinet for a few weeks in the tropics, my Glock was hidden in a plastic bag under the sink. A plumbing problem flooded it in my absence. I can only assume that it was wet for several weeks.

No rust on it!!!

For hostile environment I appreciate their finish.
