Who is satisfied with the handgun(s) they own?

Yep Sheriff G, it sounds like your in for an expensive hobby.
I remember I had my whole list made out before I had my first gun. I still have the thing too, it's in a word document. A nice picture of each gun followed by a brief description and the specs off the manufacturers sight and then maybe a review or 2 ... a ,long with a list of the peoples choice top 9mm. I should look it over again. I picked a couple off the list and there's 1 more I want for sure, I wonder what else was on there???

I've gotten rid of the handguns that I didn't like and bought even more to replace them. I'm pretty satisfied with the ones I have, but being a collector, there's always something else I want. Lately it's been single action revolvers, but not too long ago it was S&W pre lock double action revolvers. Last year it was semi autos, who knows what next year will bring. It's always something new, something different. I don't think I will ever be satisfied with my collection. However, I am very satisfied with the individual pieces in it.

I've never had a gun I didn't like.

That doesnt mean I never got rid of any of, I do all the time. I get bored with them, or I see something else I can't live without, or like recently I just come to the point where I realize I have absolutly no desire to own all these guns I don't shoot, and I might as well sell them, and let someone else enjoy them.

I'll still buy one from time to time though if it catches my eye.

If I could do it over.

Px4 storm is my first ccw, and if I had to do it over again I would not buy it.

1) Even though I can conceal it, it's kind of bulky, and I could conceal a thinner guy better.

2) The decocker interferes with racking the slide.

3) Even though I carry with one in the chamber the safety is on. If I had it to do over I would buy a gun with a palm and trigger safety, so there would be no extra action needed.

Maybe one day I wiill sell it, or sell my 30-6 or ak and get a better handgun.

I have a S&W 500, Ruger LCP and a magnum Research Micro Desert Eagle I am happy with all of them. The Micro Desert Eagle was not enjoyable to shoot untill I got the mag extension; that has been my only issue.

I am happy withe the handguns I have so far. I would like more, as I like variety, but I am happy. I've recently sold a few that were duplicates to pay bills and earn kudos from the wife, but I am still content.

There are only two more I am really interested in getting, but that is because they were my grandparents' gats. And grandma taught me to shoot a pistol with hers.

If I had to only have one, it would be a 1911 or BHP w/ a .22 conversion kit. Man I hope it never comes to that, as I'd hate to give up any of the others.

After 30 years I'm happy and about done buying handguns, I want to add a dup for my EDC (LCP) an a Beretta 87 and that's it.

Yes, I'm very happy with my collection .../ and I did just add a single action revolver from Freedom Arms in .357 mag(that I ordered 4 months ago ) ...for something a little unique and different...and while something else may come along that catches my eye .....

I've been collecting and shooting now for well over 40 yrs ...I've never sold a handgun.../ and I try not to buy just what's cool ...but over the years I've accumulated a nice mix of S&W revolvers, 1911's, a few Sigs ...a few rimfires...and now a single action revolver...so there about 50 guns or so in the collection ...and that's probably enough !

A man can only carry 4 or 5 at one time to the range....and have so much fun !!

That describes me pretty well... gone from mostly revolvers years ago to semiautos now, and probably to stay. Still filling a few niches, but have the essentials in place.

I'm satisfied with the ones I have but I'm not content. Let me explain.

I've quit shooting, at least for the moment, and I got rid of most of my guns. I only have two at the moment, both 9mm automatics. Please spare me any comments about the militia. I'm well past the legal limit for that. But, you know, I'd kind of like to have another .45 auto. Don't know why. Or maybe another .38 Super, a much more desirable gun. Or maybe....

Hmmm, I think justagirl has made an interesting point. Once, while in the elevator at the office where I worked, there were two young ladies talking about shoes. Just on a whim, I asked one of them how many pair of shoes she had. She said "about 50". I asked the other one and she said "about 50". Hmmm, so I went up to our floor and as I walked toward my office I asked the ladies in my department that same question. Over and over I kept hearing "oh, about 50 pair". Of course I heard other numbers also, but 50 was what I heard the most. I've never asked the Forum folks how many guns they had. I wonder what common number (if there is one) we'd hear.

As for the original topic of this chat, I'm quite satisfied with the pistols I have, and my wife seems happy with the two she has (snubby 38 and a K22 Smith). I wouldn't mind having a 1911, but don't want one enough to take action on getting one.

I am happy with what I have. I don't shoot a lot of them often, but don't want to get rid of them. I really don't need any new guns. That is not to say that I wouldn't buy one if I really wanted it.

Me.

I don't have a collection, just an accumulation. If I was required to sell one off, that would be a tough decision for me.
