The kind of thinking that led that guy to his incorrect conclusion seems to be rampant. It's the same reasoning that leads people to believe that deer and elk are so much tougher today than in the past that they need big magnum-medicine rifles to take.
Although I don't own a .45, I'd not feel disadvantaged in the least using one to defend myself. That it's a proven performer can't be disputed, except by those with little knowledge of history.
Hmmm, now that I think about it, maybe I should consider adding a .45 to my arsenal when my gun budget allows, which may be a while.
