Greetings,
when I first saw them I thought they were ugly as sin, but by and by, the more I see them the more I am begining to like them. Its just that they are stiker- fired and they don't have an external hammer, thats the only thing I dislike about them now. I hate all semi autos with bobbed hammers (DAO) or those that don't have external hammers.

I don't for a personal reason. The design of the Glock grips just does not fit my hand well. I shoot very low with one in rapid fire drills. Technically, I think the 9mm Glocks are well designed. They are just not for me.

I don't like the new finger grooves they have on the grips now. They just don't fit my hand well. I like the old Glocks though.

I wish there was a second strike capability with a Glock, and for some reason the last G-19 I shot seemed to point UP a lot more than other guns I'm used to. Obviously that can be corrected with some practice. It may have had something to do with the Hogue wrap-around grip that was on it though.

With that said, I'm still yerning for a G23-C & G27

I don't like em because of my personal preferences. I prefer steel guns. Great idea and functionality but they just don't feel right.

I don't care for them. I absolutely admit they are innovatively designed, well manufactured, very durable and reliable, and (for most people, but not for me) quite accurate.

That's the trouble: compared to many other top-quality autoloaders (Sigs, H&Ks, old Colts, Kimbers) and to excellent revolvers (Rugers and S&Ws), I can't shoot accurately with my G23C. This is not intended as an affront to Glocks in general or to their owners. But in my hands, a Glock is a far less accurate weapon than any of my other handguns.

I have G 19 and it doesn't fit me at all.I shoot high with it.Tring to sell it and get another sig.

I'm old and deceitful.

I don't like the shape of the grip.

The original 9mms had a grip shape that was a LOT friendlier to my hands.

I shot a 21 a few weeks ago, however, which had a Hogue slip-on on it. It made a world of difference. It wasn't all that comfortable, but wasn't really any worse than my P7M13.

I'm seriously considering getting a Glock 21 now.

Beware the man with the S&W .357 Mag.
Chances are he knows how to use it.

I don't. In the last 5 years I've owned about 30 handguns. None of them were Glocks.
I like steel frames and fine wood grips. Maybe if I carried regularly my answer would be different, but I doubt it. I have one plastic (call it polymer if you insist)frame pistol, which I love. It is the HK Tactical 45. To me the Glock is a slab of plastic with no accuracy to speak of. Opinions are like a$$holes, everybody's got one. This is mine. Sincerely, Twoinchgroup52

I don't like them because they just don't fit.

You have to be there when it's all over. Otherwise you can't say "I told you so."

Better days to be,

I'm a recovering sigaholic. Was one for a while, but I've always been a glockaholic at heart. It started when I first heard of the "plastic pistol used by terrorists." Got worse with time. Over the years I've tried different recovery programs. None have worked.

beemercb,

It sounds like you're heeling the pistol. As you pull on the trigger you're anticipating the shot, jerking the pistol upward. The fastest cure is to put in some time with an instructor experienced with Glocks. BTW how much are you asking for your G19?

I have a simple question, why?

Surely, in a defensive situation, the best drill is to chamber a new round. Pulling the trigger on a round that didn't fire only increases the time before you have a fresh round available.

I love the function and reliability of the Glock. I have had five of them. Still the ergonomics just don't cut it. I even had ARS do grip reductions. Sold all the Glocks and I am sticking with the 1911.

Johnwill,

I know very well what you're SUPPOSED to do when you encounter a failure of any kind with any pistol, but all sorts of unpredictable things happen when you're in a defensive situation or just attacked in general. I personally like having the ablility to pull the trigger again. You need to realize that MOST ammo WILL fire if you stike it again (probably 90%). And if one arm is broken, restrained, missing, or whatever and you have a dud, you're SOL with a Glock. I just want it to go BANG if i pull the trigger again.

There really wouldn't be a way to make a Glock DA without making the trigger heavier, and I personally like their 5-6 pound trigger. Anyways, I have my reasons. Like I mentioned earlier, Glock builds several of my favorite pistols.

take care John,
Ben

I plead ignorance. I've never fired a Glock of any type, but I'd be willing to accept any offers. :)

Not that this is news, but most people seem to be either rabidly for or against them as a species. It seems difficult to find someone without an opinion on a Glock, but here I am.
