as your primary defense gun if you couldn't have your favorite autoloader.

For me, S&W Mod. 66 2 1/2"

Choose One.

favorite ccw in revolver is a heavy s-w model 64 38 in 3in , little hard to conceal granted, but great triger in either da/sa and resets to target easily

Man thats an old post. But I'll play S&W Model 65 with 3" barrel.

Ian11.............. Hmm, I wonder who that is? I did a search of all his old posts and man that guy needs to stop spouting his mouth off.

Oh wait................ that was my old username. :D

A 4" 686+ It resides at the bedside, loaded with seven .357 125 JHP rounds, with a fully charged speed-loader next to it. No concerns of compressed mag azine springs weakening, or decockers or safeties to fumble with. The ultimate in reliability- just aim (point-no need to enter that arena here!) and pull the trigger.

Model 28. It's helped me out many times in the past (old duty gun)

If cost was no object:

S&W 327 - the Miculek 8-shot .357.
or
Mateba Unica in .357

If cost IS actually an object
A solid .357 4" such as a Ruger GP100 or S&W 686.

Of weapons I actually own?
TOUGH call - I like my GP100 (6") because it's .357 (which I consider superior to the .45 ACP)...

But my 4" 625JM with 185gr Hydrashocks and a couple of moonclips for reloads and handling...

Forced to choose, my 625JM would get the nod due to the reloads. .357 may well be a slightly better manstopper, but I would not feel undergunned with a near 1/2" slugthrower!
