Which is more fun? .22LR autoloader or revolver?

I love my 22 revolvers but after a while I have said whats the point?

A good 22 auto ejects the brass and I don't have to pick it up since my range sweeps them up for brass.

If I shoot a wheel, I might as well shoot centerfire since I will save the brass.

Thus auto over 22 revolver.

I don't know about shooting, but I love reloading the magazine over and over again. Revolvers just make you put the cartridges in the chambers. Boring.

I enjoy my pistols much more than my revolvers. My most recent revolvers have been SA.

When at the farm, I'll set up several spinner targets, paper targets and cans and have a little "action" pistol shoot. My Ruger MKII is more accurate than my single six (sold it) and my Walther is a hoot.

Also with the Ruger, I'll set up one spinner at 100 paces, pull out the cross-sticks see what I can do. Once you get dialed-in you can surprise yourself.

I still may pick up a replacement Single Six for it's utility mainly with using 22mag.

Single Six

My wife and I prefer the single action revolvers, especially when we take the kids shooting. In my opinion, the are safer for the kiddos.

Can't go wrong with either, but if you have a Glock or 1911, I still find the Advantage Arms conversion kit the most fun and best to teach new shooters.

I think semi-autos are more fun, especially in .22 with the Ruger MK II and my CZ-75B with Kadet Kit among my favorites.

Revolver is King

Over the years I've had Luger, Browning, Ruger and High Standard 22 semiautos. They are a kick to shoot. Only thing is, they are quite picky as to the ammo used. I found myself clearing a jam more than I cared to. Not long ago I picked up a S&W ten-shot model 617 SS revolver with a 6" barrel. LOTS of fun to shoot, holds ten rounds (same as most semi's) and it never jams and could care less about the type of ammo used. It just keeps shooting and is more accurate and I am. Other's mileage may vary, and I have to admit I am a revolver guy...but I really do like the 22 revolver over the 22 semi auto.
