Which gun should I keep?

Tell her the newer one is hers because you thought maybe sharing each others hobbies would help keep each other closer. You might have to suck it up and do something that you might not like in return, but its worth it keeping the 2nd gun.

You going to be carrying whichever gun is left or is this a home/range gun?

If it's for carry I'd say the PX4 stays.

If it's just to have at home and range I still say keep the PX4. I could understand keeping the CZ in this case but I wouldn't/won't part ways with my PX4.

I've been there myself mate.

I've bought a couple of guns when I shouldn't have. It really "irks" my better half, to say the least. I can't complain too much though, I got a browning Hi Power for Christmas and I'm going to L.F.I. this year.

The reason I mention the above is so you understand that I have been in your shoes and understand. I had to pass on a Rifle I've wanted for over ten years, and more than three handguns last year, but it's a good trade because I still feel I have a great wife.

As far as which gun to keep. I would look at it like this; which gun would you want for daily carry, home defense, target shooting? Which gun go you shoot better? Which gun feels "right" in your hand? I myself like the Hi Power and the 1911, and to me a CZ is a cousin of the Hi Power, so that's the one I would keep. It wouldn't even be a question, in my mind, if it has single action cocked and locked capability, but that's just me.

Ask yourself those questions, and then make your decision.

Walk into your wife's closet and run a yellow tape line exactly down the middle.
Now tell her that she has to get rid of everything on one side of that line but she can keep everything on the other side of the line. Her choice.

Then the next time you buy a gun, don't even tell the wife about it, just like there's lots of things in her closet that she doesn't tell you about.

It's time to play hardball. That's how I've managed to stay married to the same woman for over 35 years.

I bought the CZ without her permission. It's going to break my heart parting with either one. We just can't afford it right now though and it was a bonehead move by me. One of them has got to go.

All joking aside.... Hat's off to someone that man's up and admits a mistake and takes the perfect responsible approach. I know everyone is just kidding around with you, but I wanted to say 'way to go'. Too many guys I see get caught up in getting more 'toys' and let their ego take over.... only to ruin them. With being honest with yourself and all.... you'll get another CZ soon enough.

With that last line you can guess which I'd keep. I'm not a huge Beretta fan, although I have nothing against them and they they are an excellent weapon. However, I have sold a few CZ shadows and handled transfers for some folks that shoot at the range and in IPSC with us..... all but ONE of them have had issues. Two have been sent back to Angus for "fixing". My personal experience with CZ has not been good. I vote Beretta. Just my .02.

Have you shot the CZ yet? If not, you may get more out of selling it. If you have shot it, which one fits better and which one do you shoot better?

Otherwise, all things being equal, keep the Beretta.

Sorry guys, the wife isn't stupid. I've used up all my tricks and arguments, to no avail. She just gives me the silent treatment. One of them is gone before the end of the week.

I've shot both, and love them both. Zero failures from either of them. There are reasons why I prefer either one of them over the other one.

CZ, better ergonomic fit for my hand. Low recoil (heavy), accurate, dependable so far. It just looks and "feels" so qualitative.

Px4, lighter for carry, smooth as butter DA trigger, accurate, low recoil (rotating barrel). Dependable.

Both are superb guns for any amount of money. Seeing one go will be like putting a beloved pet to sleep.

You'll never hear the end of it anyway.

Keep both of them.

Lie to her and tell her one of them is so she can defend herself at home if any bad people try to break in (the PX-4 is a better fit for her,I'd bet).

Both are great guns, both are the same caliber so there is no cost benefit to selling either of them.

You will take a beating if you try to sell either anyway.

Just accept that if you get rid of either gun,she will just find another reason to "discuss":D at you anyway.

Keep them both and just keep smiling and saying,"I love you honey."

I would also keep the CZ, since I own a CZ75B and like it, and I've shot a PX4 and didn't like it.

Leave the gun; take the cannoli.

Since you're torn and "she has spoken," why don't you have her choose which one you sell to appease her? This way she has more input, and perhaps you can take her to the range, she'll shoot both to help make and informed decision, and maybe we have another shooter in our midst at some point in the future.
