Where is your gun when you shower?

???

My bathroom gets very humid when I shower, what should I do with my gun? I'm thinking about wrapping it in a towel while I shower, I'm not sure how well it will be protected though.

Mine's usually in the bedroom or living room while I'm in the shower. I hope my dog will buy me enough time if someone breaks in while I'm in the shower.

I have a gun vacuum sealed in the bathroom. Nothing serious, but I am just testing out moisture issues. It is just one of my older 92fs that I had. It has been almost a year and I don't see any signs of rust. It is loaded but not chambered. It is going to be torn open in June and will be emptied to see if it works.

I can't help but to always think of the image below, when these threads come up.

Thats crazy of course. I only take stainless guns, with sythetic stocks into the shower and only eat water friendly and healthy foods like apples, oranges, etc.:p

I have a stainless S&W that i keep strapped on my leg in a swat rig. That and the Grenade shaped to look like a bar of Irish spring, and I'm not worrying about nothing.

well I think you're paranoid if you own guns.

No, not at all. ;) Just prepared for all contingencies.

I myself regularly shower with my SIG P229 and a Ruger PC9 (30-round mag) just in case someone gets through the alarm system and the reinforced doors

I keep a HiPoint in a nylon shoulder holster while I shower. Afterwards I put on my manthong  and patrol the house to make sure noone broke in whilst I was in the shower.:p Nothng would scare a burglar worse than a hiary guy in a manthong with a gun.:p

Afterwards I just drop the ammo out of the magazine and wipe it dry with a towell, then I put the gun in the microwave with a couple of cans of unopened soup to heat up dinner, and dry the gun at the same time.

Keistered... The draw is a bit painful. LOL. Seriously in the bedroom or out in the truck... Would not keep it in the bathroom.

I mount my toothbrush to the rail of my SP2022 so my hand never leaves my gun - finger off the trigger of course. I don't risk taking showers.

My Dogs

I have two dogs, one keeps the stranger busy while the other one goes and unlocks my gun safe for me and brings me my SW40VE. Its kinda like the bud light commercials with a little added team work.

Heh i wish, that would be a whole nother class of "Sport dog"

Training starts today...:D

The only thing that I can contribute to this is that I have a bathroom that connects two rooms.

I don't want the humidity from the shower to go into my bedroom where my guns are stored so I keep my bedroom door shut while I'm taking a shower and let the steam go into the other room.

I try to keep humidity away from my guns whenever possible.

I can't comment on the notion that you need a gun with you even in the shower...

But can I ask... do you also own bullet proof vests?

My bathroom is right across from my bedroom so its fine. When I move out though, I will put a gun in the bathroom, something cheap. Maybe a $120 22lr rifle in the closet or a high point under the sink with dehumidifier bags?(you get when you buy products)

Between this thread, and the one about what gun is best for pistol whipping I'm beginning to question my grade school teachers wisdome long ago. they told me there were no such questions!

Considering what John Malkovich hid in his pink pig in Red, you wouldn't be surprised what I have in my rubber ducky!!!
