Where in your vehicle do you keep your gun?

Usually on the seat next to me.

IWB holster unless I can't take it with me. Then it goes into a steel locbox bolted under my passenger seat. Almost impossible to pry it open from where it is under the seat. The only way to remove it is to unbolt the seat and cut some bolts. I might have to leave the gun in the car but chances are I'll still have a knife on me. ;)

I got a keyed gunsafe (shoe box sized), used a motorcycle chain (thick bike chain) and some hardware to attach to the car on the floor of the backseat. It's THICK to where no normal bolt cutters will get through it. I leave it open with a key inside, so when I need to, I put my gun in it, and take the key with me. Only really use it when I go to the range, and don't go straight home after, I don't carry all those guns on me.

It simply looks like I've got a toybox, or toolbox in the backseat. If you bother to look hard enough to see it through the tinted windows in the back.

I put mine in the side panel of the driver door. It is housed in a Safariland back pocket holster. My wife carries hers in a day planner next to her on the seat.

I keep my Desert Eagle 50 caliber semi auto duct taped to my dash, where the sun can keep it nice and toasty.

That way it's easy to get to when I need it.

I also duct tape the extra mag on the back of my head so it's easy to get too when I need that.

:D

Colorado is an open carry state so I put my handgun on the seat. Open carry means that it is not concealed. Still, I keep it in a holster to protect it. I have carried like this for years and never had a problem with law enforcement. When I park, it goes under the seat or the glove box with the doors locked.

I have been contemplating carrying on my hip (open) all of the time lately because of the increase in crime.

under passenger seat holstered with thumbsnap unless its the snub which is then just sitting next to me on the seat

In case it matters to anyone the cost to re-key a Dodge glove box is less than $20 so it is no longer the same as your ignition key.
But if your Dodge is like mine, a 4 year old can break into the glove box. I don't leave my gun in my car. Not together anyway. The slide comes with me. I just stick it in my back pocket. Then, I put the rest of it in my center console. Dodge Nitro's have a large compartment in the center console, with a shallow insert that goes over the top.

where?

On the seat beside me when I am driving, unholstered. If I'm in town, I keep a small towel on the seat and throw it over the gun.
I rarely leave the gun in the car. (Maybe during a quick run into the hardware store or somesuch, it might get left under the driver's seat).
