Where are you finding pistol powder??

It helps to make friends with the local gun stores. Im sure you could just place a "standing" order for your powder of choice. The larger distributors that they have access to will have stock that doesn't necessarily filter online in all cases.
Give it a shot, and support a local business at the same time.

What Lefty said. I do not reload for pistol, so I am unaware of the shortage. I do use Unique to fireform brass and just happened to pick up a bottle the other week at the local sport shop. He seems to be stocked OK. I don't buy powder online because of the HazMat beating you take on smaller orders.

Midsouth

I was just on their site. Wow, that's the most inventory of useful pistol powders I've seen anywhere in almost three years. They have Nitro 100 and VV N-310 as well (less popular powders - but I use them a lot).

This is the first time I've seen AA#5 anywhere since June '13. First time I've seen AA#7 anywhere since November '13.

I have enough AA#5 to hold me a bit (2 1/2 #'s), but I have less than a pound each of AA#7 (but don't use much), and Power Pistol (use quite a bit).

I wish they had WSP primers right now. I'd get a 4# of Power Pistol, 1# of AA#7, and some primers. Would like to spread out the hazmat as much as possible. May still get the powder.

Thanks for the head's up Marco Califo.

I get mine locally. Several stores have an assortment. I'm good on rifle unless some TAC comes available. (Fixing on building my first AR. TAC does so well in my Ruger AR 5.56 I gotta take the plunge.)

I'm good on pistol powder and bullets but, need some primers. I bought a couple pounds of unique yesterday and was going to get primers but, they have went back up to $40/brick!!!!!! Anybody else seeing this? They were down to $30 last month. All brands, all primer sizes, as long as they were standard stuff. Now, $10 higher? I'm just confused. God Bless

Midsouth order

I just bought a 4# of Power Pistol; and two 1#'s of AA7 from Midsouth. Amazingly, these items (among others) have remained in stock for several days while I contemplated the purchase.

BTW, the Power Pistol mentioned above is the first time I have ever bought a container larger than one pound.

Guess I'm lucky, my LGS has been well stocked for months. Today I even saw Universal for the first time since the fire at the plant. Plenty of Unique, Bullseye, Clay Dot, HP-38, Power Pistol and many more. I bought some Federal Gold Medal small pistol primers, first time I've seen Federals in a long time.

Hammerhead, things are always different out here in California - and rarely for the good.

I'm not hurting for powder, keep in mind. My above-mentioned purchase is proactive.

My LGS (Sportsmen's Warehouse) is as well stocked as it has been in several years - but that isn't saying much. And even at that, all they have is rifle powder.
