Since everyone talks about their favorite handgun make, I want to know which make you like the least, or had the worst experience with?

Personally my worst experience was with a makarov which accidentally fired by just cockking- the hammer struck on its own. The other worst experience was with walther P38 whcih KBd on 9mm SMG round.

Will share the rest later.

I had a Kimber CDPII that fell apart in my hands while I was shooting it. Turns out the ambi safety broke in half, thereby allowing the whole thing to go to crap. That is completely unacceptable for a $1200 pistol. As soon as I got it back, I took it and traded it on a real, reliable handgun, a GLOCK. That Glock (a model 35) is now my constant partner, my duty weapon. It has NEVER not gone bang when I asked it to, and it has never fallen apart while I was shooting it. Up until I got mine, I had always sworn against Glocks, what a stupid decision that was!

S&W

Not because there was anything wrong with the gun, but because I made the stupid mistake of shooting this old .22 magnum revolver without earplugs in. Hey, I was a dumb 16 year old kid who grew up shooting .22 LR out of a 10/22 without ear protection all the time. Holy crap, my ears have NEVER experienced so much pain. I only fired one gun one time that day, I was done after that.

Browning .32ACP

About 14 years ago I had a Browning .32 ACP. It failed to feed after a few mags. I forgot the incident otherwise I would have definately included that in the list.

I own a wide variety of weapons... & have had both good & bad examples of both of these

Rohn Gumba 22... had a 22 junker, & a 9 shot 6" barreled 22 that seems pretty good

AMT... had a junk 380 Back Up, that would not feed reliably no matter what, yet I have 4 Automags, that all work great

Rohm .22

Actually was my Mom's, and was kept in her closet for SD, thank God she never needed it:barf: You could unload it, and it still rattled so much, she could have used it for my brother's baby rattle! total POS

Glad she finally got rid of it.

Jennings

Jennings 380.

Had the SLIDE crack after 50 rounds of factory ammo. Traded it for a 10/22 after it came back from the factory.

Of the ones listed that I have owed or shot my biggest problem has been with a Ruger Mk II and putting it back together after cleaning it. I had a hell of a time getting everthing lined up. When you compare how easy some other .22 are to break down, the Ruger design is EVIL:mad:

CZ isn't listed.

All my CZ's have had 'teething problems'. 52 was horrible, my 75BD is still being made reliable, CZ carbine won't pop standard Wolf primers reliably and the magazine follower tilts up, not feeding the last round.

But I still love them for some odd reason.

A Ruger Security Six, 357 revolver. The B/C gap was too tight from the factory and after about 50 rounds of lead bullet reloads the cylinder would bind up.

I sent it back to Ruger. They fixed it. Never had another problem with any other gun I've ever owned.

Jennings .22

Never owned one of these, but tried some guy's Jenning's .22 pistol out a range one day. He could shoot it well, but he admitted he bought the gun as a sorta "joking around" thing and would never depend on it to save his life.

After firing 10 rounds off of it, I think I would've gotten better shots on the target by THROWING the pistol at it. The trigger was so hard to squeeze my fingers were aching halfway through it, and at least 4 rounds out of that 10 malfunctioned.

I'm suprised to see so much dissatisfaction with Taurus. My carry piece is a 24/7 PRO in .45 ACP, and I've had no issues with it whatsoever. I know Taurus had some issues a while back, so maybe it's the older generations/versions of this gun that so many people talk about.
