What's Your Tack Driver??

Good to see wheelguns well-represented :D

Tough to decide which among mine is the best:

6" S&W K-38:

4" DAO S&W 686. It's my 1° IDPA gun. Not pictured with the target, but it's the same gun used here ;)

Finally, I recently picked up a very sweet Bill Davis PPC revolver, built on a S&W Model14. I haven't had the chance to really take it for much of a spin yet (or take pics), but I have high expectations.

No disrespect intended fellows, but tack-driving with a .22 is a given if you ask me.

The fundamentals are the same, no matter the caliber.

At any rate, the assertion may (or may not) be so when considering the cartridge and/or the gun itself, but it's certainly not been my experience once the gun is actually in the hands of many a shooter.

And if one is categorically less accurate with a centerfire pistol, I suspect the problem lies between the ears. ;)

My most accurate carry gun is my Walther PPS.
My most accurate range/fun gun is my CZ52.
My most accurate handgun of all is my Ruger MkII.
My Dan Wesson Vbob and Walther P99 are both laser beam accurate.

Rimfire and Center submissions

For rimfire class, out of the venerable K-22, Diamondback, Colt Woodsman 1st gen, Colt Woodsman match target, and my high standards, this one I shoot best with:

Hi Standard 102 Supermatic Citation (space gun) with all the goodies:

For centerfire, I shoot the best with this:

S&W 686-3 pre lock

and some 22's aren't all that accurate, though I take your point.

because it give me an excuse to post a picture of my RRA hardball pistol.

This boat anchor is not for packin!

Taurus puts out some real crap, but sometimes you get lucky. I've had people comment, "why would you want something so heavy?", and then they shoot my 46oz 970. They usually don't ask that ? again.;)

My son and I own two Browning .22 auto pistols. Mine has a 10 inch bull barrel, . . . his is a 4 inch slab side.

They are nausiating almost to shoot, . . . just keep hitting the "X".

I could have a garage full of trophys if I could shoot as well as they can.

May God bless,
Dwight

Any gun that is fortunate enough to be in my hands at the time I pull the trigger.

However, my favorite tack driver is my Kimber Pro Carry.
