What's your next rifle?

The T/C Venture in 25-06 has arrived. Initial impression is that it appears to be a pretty decent lower cost rifle. One MOA is good enough. Certainly is easy to mount a scope. Adjustable trigger is sort of nice. I like a light pull sighting in when warm, but also like more resistance when cold and gloved in winter. Nice to have buyers set it as they desire. Traction surfaces on the stock seem to be worthwhile. The LGS had a list to go by and this T/C was the first they were able to get. Having never held any on the list, I cannot say how it compares to the others. The Marlin and others were considerations you guys suggested. This is the one that came in and it seems quite capable. Watched some YouTube videos and found some charts on 25-06 ballistics. First impression out of the box: I don't find anything not to like about it.

I looking for a CZ 527 Carbine in 7.62x39, already got the "slot" or permission to acquire on my Firearms certificate.
Not a common choice over here, in fact rare as hens teeth would be the best description. Lol
Already bough bullets brass and dies so pretty much committed to it now
Will be used for fox and deer on my small shoot.

Neil. :)

well since i dont have a bolt action in my collection yet, i would like my next rifle to be a Weatherby Vanguard Series 2 synthetic in .308/7.62 nato

just having trouble "pulling the trigger" pun intended

Now with my "next rifle" in hand (25-06), I had a question about scope rings, but put it over in the gear & accessory section. I'm trying to decide on what scope power for a 300 yard shot and figured I might need a 50mm scope size in general, but I got confused by the Burris brand rings I brought home when it came to installing them.

My next (hopefully) is a custom built (Remington action,Shilen barrel..etc) 300WM. A buddy of mine built it for a gentleman, and he ended not being able to afford it. So my buddy is hooking me up with it and a bit of ammo.

I was mistaken.

My next rifle was not the 1903A3 that I have on layaway.

My wife gave me a Ruger 10/22 TakeDown for our anniversary today.:D

I thought that was an outstanding gift.

Will you guys first buy some ammo, then buy the rifle, if you don't already have the correct ammo?
This method has worked pretty well, even in 'normal times'.

Im still waiting to get my new long range 7mag. Its going to be a Weatherby Mark V RC Accumark 7mag with fluted stainless barrel and top it with a Zeiss Conquest 6.5-20-50

My next rifle would probably be a bolt-action .308 or 30-06, most likely the Ruger American.

Can't really go wrong with an American-made rifle that's priced right.
