Whats YOUR favorite shotgun?

I like my SX-1 too. Field model, mod choke, good trigger, etc. Yes, I got it back together after replacing the springs.

One for me, one for my wife!

One was grandpa's and one was great grandpa's. They're surprisingly fine sporting clay guns!

zippy13...

the MX-8 is one of the finest O/U's ever created. Here I am back in 1993 with my MX-8 raised high in the air after shooting a high score at the Warrington Club in central PA... :D

the one Adrian Brody carried in Predators, the AA-12

my own personal shotgun is a Winchester 1300 (22 inch barrel, extra full turkey choke, laminated stock)

"It does not have to be one you own"

My sentimental favorite is my uncle's Stevens 20 ga. SxS that he bought new in 1953.

You didn't post a pic, so here's one of mine for those who don't know what a MX8 looks like
34"? How do you like it? Mines a 31-1/2'

When I bought mine I already had a good selection of respectable shotguns but nothing in quite the same league. When I shot one of the other guns I'd ask "Why I am shooting THIS when I have a Perazzi back at home." There was only one thing to do. I sold most of them to buy a 28 gauge P-gun just like my 12. No regrets. :)

It's the metric equivalent of 30" -- for some reason the pic makes it look long. I must confess, it's not my favorite -- I shoot better scores [skeet] with my 28" P-guns. I've only shot a few practice rounds with the MX8, so the jury is still out.

Browning A5 Light Twelve. My father took me to the gun shop on my 12th birthday and said, pick any shotgun you want. I brought home the A5.

My favorite WAS my Ithaca Model 37 but being young and dumb I sold it a long time ago.

The favorite I still own and use is my Franchi semi-auto. It is 20 guage and swings like lightning. It really became my favorite after I recently had it bored out and fitted with screw in choke tubes. Now I can use it for everything as it was a cylinder bore before. Great at 25 yds and under but if I was slow on the trigger the birds & bunnies were out of range.

I like the old JC Higgins model 20/ High Standard Model 200 12 gauge. I just like them and find it really hard to pass one up. If anyone local to me has one for cheap, let me know.

My favorite shotgun is the Remington 1100 & 11-87
I have been hunting with one or the other for nearly 40 years and packed them for countless miles quail hunting.

Mossberg 590A1. There's nothing better than heading out to the range with that bad boy and a case of shells and blasting away. The heavy barrel really seems to help ameliorate the recoil. Shooting high brass shells is almost pleasant as long as they're not magnums.
