I just got my KAHR P40 and I must be one of the lucky ones who got one of these after the walking trigger pivot pin and frame warpage was fixed. 200 rnds 0 malfunctions of any kind Kicks a bit but its worth it for the size.
That thing is so easy to shoot. It balances well, absorbes recoil, and with the factory 3.5# trigger set up it almost has a good trigger pull (at least it is managable).
I do not HAVE a .40 yet. I do own one but the state of Maryland won't let me pick it up for a few more weeks since I just picked up my Bersa Thunder two weeks ago (gotta love the one a month law ).
The nicest .40 I've ever shot was a SIG P239 that I got to shoot a couple months ago. It belonged to a cop who was shooting in the lane next to me (it was his off duty gun). He liked my S&W 65LS so much (his first time shooting a .357, actually I think it was his first time with any revolver) that I did think about offering a trade for about a second (I love my 65 too much).
I'll let you know if the CZ 40 I bought beats it out. From what I've read about both and experienced with the P239 I'm guessing it will be a close call- probably too close to call.
I know this is a stale thread but I had to get my 2 cents in. My Beretta 96FS is the sweetest shooting semi auto i have ever fired like it better then the 92FS, the Ruger p-85 and the Colt 1911 and oh yea the old WWii vintage p-38. fast follow up shoot easy target acquisition with the trijicon's and more accurate than I
