what's your favorite 22?

So what is your favorite 22lr revolver? Single or double? How do you like your sights? Where does it see the most use?
 
I really like my Ruger SP101 22. Its the new 8 shot. Its nice in Double Action and supurb in Single Action. I can dance a tin can at 25 yards with ease. Well made, and beautiful.

I also really like my Ruger Single Ten. Its easily the most accurate 22 revolver I have, and is a blast to shoot. It runs very well, and is heirloom quality. At 10 yards, it shoots one ragged hole, and at 25 yards will shoot 2 inch groups, all day, with any ammo.

I like both of these over my S&W 617 and 317.
 
My S&W M&P AR 15 with a .22 conversion. Tons of fun to shoot and accurate.

Just wish .22 lr's were in stock and cheap again! I feel as if I am hoarding what I have left and have not gone shooting since this spring.:(
 
My favorite is a Smith and Wesson 617, four inch barrel, 6 shot. I've had this revolver more then twenty plus years. If it wasn't the 617 I'd like to have a Ruger single six W/ two cylinders, like the one I had along time back and like a fool got rid of?:o
 
H&R sportsman model 999 here. What's not to like about a top break 9 shot .22lr. Mostly used for targets but also a little squirrel hunting now and then. Now that's a good time.:D
 
S&W's are my favorites,,,

In order of like:
  • Model 18
  • Model 63
  • Model 34

I also have an alloy framed Colt Frontier Scout,,,
It's a great little single-action shooter.

Colt OMM hands down my favorite .22

Honorable mention K22 for being just as good. Also the H&R 999 for just sheer funfactor. Top breaks! :D:D:D

Now, in replying to only revolvers, Mine is a Colt Peacemaker Buntline, SA. Smooth and love those four clicks as you cock the hammer. ..... :)

All of them. At one time or another I've owned 22 revolvers by, Smith & Wesson, Colt, Ruger, Harrington & Richardson, High Standard, Dan Wesson, Heritage, and Taurus...maybe another one or two I can't think of off the top of my head. I've liked them all.

Currently I've only got one. A Taurus 96.

Oh. I just remembered...my wife has a Single-Six.

We use them at the range mostly...and for plinking out back once in a while.
 
what's your favorite 22?

My favorite is a 4" S&W Model 17 from the mid 80s. The front ramp sight has a red insert and the rear sight has a white outline. I also have a 1958 4" Model 18 that's very similar, but I prefer the 17's sights. All in all, just a great pair of rimfire revolvers.

I've noticed that these have become VERY expensive in recent years. Glad I got mine before the prices went crazy.
 
6" - S&W K-22 Outdoorsman, K-22 Masterpiece, or Model 17.
4" - S&W KModel 617, 10-shot cylinder
3" - S&W Model 63-5 (current model)
2" - S&W Model 34 RB
 
My 6" 17-4 would be my favorite revolver, with my HRR second. Of course they are the only two .22 revolvers I own. The HRR is tied second overall with my Ruger MKIII. I need to add a few more, lol...
