My all-time favorite is the Colt Woodsman and in particular the Match Target. It is a work of art as well as a fine well made, highest quality pistol. IMHO, the 1911 is JMB second best design.
 
In order of preference,,,

I like my S&W Model 18 Combat Masterpiece the best,,,
Didi is one fine shooting double-action lady.

Then there is my Colt Frontier Scout,,,
Lucille comes out when I want to play Cowboy,,,
I strap on my gunslinger rig and channel Roy Rogers.

My Ruger 22/45 and my Beretta U22 NEOS only come out,,
When I go with my semi-auto pistol loving buddies,,,
They are good guns but are ammo wasters.

I do better on my dueling tree with the DA revolver,,,
Than I ever can do with my semi-auto pistols,,,
Probably because I like revolvers better.

But that's just me,,,
Your mileage may vary.

Browning Buckmark,it shoots better than I ever will again.S&W M43 4in. nice very light weight revolver,but I don't shoot it very well.I'm off today I think I'll take it to the range and see if I cant get a little better with it.
 
Semi-auto cuz that is what I have also!!:) I would love to have a DA revolver. I also agree with aarondhgraham, my P22 can send some lead down range in a flash. But I won't call it wasted ammo if I am pulling the trigger!;)

Well, perhaps ammo waster was too strong a description. ;)

It's that when I have a semi-auto in my hands,,,
I have a tendency to shoot way too fast,,,
Because it's so danged much fun.

Rifle or handgun,,,
It makes no real difference.

I do my best accuracy shooting,,,
With revolvers and single-shot rifles.

.22LR Semi's are the only semis I own or will own. Rifle or hand gun. To heck with brass or cost let's send some rounds down range. Want accuracy? .22LR semi's are some of the most accurate out there. Ease of loading? Semi.

Ruger Mark II

I like my semi-auto Ruger in 22lr. Some of the fun of shooting semi-auto without the expense of costly ammo. My 4" version with bull barrel is capable of very accurate groups depending on the shooter.
