I carry a bond arms 23 oz, but i think it's more of a size thing than a weight thing for me. I spend lots of time in summer style cloths so i can't hide my glock or 1911.

During the summer I carry my Glcok 36 in a made for pistol belt pack. Ok, fanny pack if you want to call it that, but it has an internal holster and opens for a nice vertical pull. I am an old timer and no one pays any attention to an old guy wearing a belt pack. I can Carry my Smith 36 or Colt Det. special in the same pack without even changing the setup. In the cooler months I go to a belt carry setup.

I know younger guys are more fashion conscious, but it works for me.

I don't know. What's a full size 92FS or 1911 weigh? add that to the 250Lbs I weigh,

but I've been exercising more regularly, and watching what I eat,

so hopefully it will soon be down to @205Lbs. plus the weight of the gun...

haven't weighted it

I just swicthed from a full size 1911 to a Model 60 3 in barrel 357. Mainly for the weight. I have a very old back injury that has gotten worse. so the few ounces reduced in my choice of carry gun has made a difference in the pain. I think my 1911 was close to 30 ounces locked and loaded.

Man that was funny. I gotta clean the computer screen cuz I had soda and pretzels flying outta my face when I read that!

Mine are between 15 and 28 ounces. I couldnt imagine carrying anything heavier, you guys lugging the 40oz 1911 continue to amaze me... Have you ever weighed your gun in a holster? Most of us carry our guns in holsters that add a significant amount of weight, especially the leather ones.

I just weighed my loaded G36 with leather holster.

30 oz with holster.

26.5 oz without holster.

Holster is 3.5 oz. It's a thin leather with no strap.

CCW WEIGHT

1. Colt New Agent, alloy frame,in holster, loaded 7+1.--- 34 oz.
(Current carry gun.)
2. Kahr P9, polymer frame,in holster, loaded 7+1.--------- 24 oz.
(Would like to make this lightweight my primary
carry gun, but the bullets are too small and light.)
3. Ruger P95, polymer frame, loaded 15+1 ----------------- 38 oz.
(Good capacity, but the bullets ....... )
4. Colt all-steel Commander, in holster, loaded 8+1.------ 47 oz.
(Too heavy for extended carry time.)
5. Ruger SP-101, stainless steel, in holster, 5 in cylinder.- 32 oz.
(Capacity too low.Reload slow.)

Your mode of carry can allow you to carry much more weight comfortably. I carry an H&K P2k and 2 extra mags daily. Weight, dunno - 5 lbs? But that is also 37 rnds of .40.
