With the passing of Bill Ruger, likely it will never happen. The Old Army was his idea and pet gun. The company dropped it like a hot potato when he left.

Sort of like the way Ford Motor Company had to wait until Henry I passed on before they could drop Ford's flathead V8.

B.L.E. very true. Founders of companies almost always have a pet project that they identify with and will hang onto come hell or high water. It must go with the territory. Once they pass it is usually the first thing to go.
